Gnome you might not like Tiesto but you got to admit that he has offered a lot to the trance scene and that he is very successful on what he does. Now concerning Man With No Name his new album will be out on TIP World and also prepare for some special collaborations with Dino Psaras since Martin moved from his old house to a new one next to Dino. About his live perfomance it includes both old and new tracks.Actually he plays some remixes of his older tracks that are not released anywhere and are specificaly designed for his live perfomances. The last time he was invited in Athens last year the crowd went absolutely crazy with his majestic perfomance.

Nightvision by Reefer Decree remains one of my favorite tunes of all time so when i heared the news that a new Reefer Decree album is on the way including this great track on the tracklist i was extremely happy. The band has splitted for long time now and Oliver was focused on his Oryx solo project but he and Iboga Records had a big suprise for us so here it is the new Reefer Decree album. Tracklist 01.Reefer Decree-Breaking News 02.Reefer Decree-Point Of You 03.Reefer Decree-Gone For Good 04.Reefer Decree-Agent 508 05.Reefer Decree-Meltburn (Emok Remix) 06.Reefer Decree-7 Minutes 07.Reefer Decree-The Final Decree 08.Reefer Decree-Meltburn 09.Reefer Decree-Nightvision Review 01) Damn the opening track of this album is really massive.Breaking The News is one of the finest and well crafted tracks i have listened in the last 4-5 years a trully magical tune that grows within you with every listen.Amazing melodies and vocals, great rythm and baselines all surrounded by a mystical atmosphere.A legendary track for me already and i am not exaggerating at all. 02) The second track of the album,Point Of You,is a very strange one, although i dont like it much for a strange reason my whole body moves when i listen to it for an unexplained reason.I am really puzzled with this one,i mean its not supposed to be my style of music and it sounds little bit more commercial from my usual cup of tea but still i find something really interesting in it.Curious about other people's comment about it. 03) Gone For Good is a very nice and danceable tune and i very much fancied the dolphin like sounds in the backround,i am always fond of high frequency sounds anyway.A fine piece of work that keeps the level of this album in very high standards so far. 04) Next we got Agent 508 a good progressive tune with a tribal touch. This is a typical good scandinavian track,it has high production quality and should work preety well on the dancefloor especially on those late morning hours plus some great melodies in it.Recommended also for home listening. 05) Emok makes his appearence on this album with his remix on Meltdown and what an appearence this is.His remix is a really powerfull one that can blast any dancefloor away,a great piece of work BUT i dont understand why Emok stopped with the track just on 05.40 minutes, while i was preparing for a massive built up the track finished leaving me with a big suprise on my face.Michael mate you really MUST make a longer version of this and include it on a future compilation or something.Great track anyway. 06) 7 Minutes is a great melodic morning track with a groovy rythm.I really like this kind of tunes,i find them ideal for home listening and even as backround music.Highly recommended for those who like relaxing music with melodies in it like i do. 07) Another morning tune here though this time not as good as the rest of the album, yes the melodies are really nice and dreamy but the tune is really average itself. 08) Here we have the original version of the Meltdown tune.Unlike the powerfull remix by Emok this is a funky and groovy tune.I liked that melody near the end but the first 5 minutes are just not my style,i will stick with the remix for sure and skip this one. 09) YES finally after all this time the legendary Nightvision is released in its full and updated version.I can even today remember when i first listened to this track years ago, must have been at least 4-5 years, and how my world was shocked with this tune.No words can describe this classic piece of art,one must listen to it and understand its true magic. Thanks to Iboga and Oliver for releasing this gem. The new Reefer Decree album lives up to its high expectations and i am very happy to hear new music from Oliver after all this time. This is a high production quality album that worths every penny of it with two massive hits in it Breaking News and Nightvision plus some really good tracks like Agent 508,Gone For Good,7 Minutes and the great remix by Emok on Meltdown. An essential realease for all scandinavian music lovers out there and not only.Thumbs up and looking forward to future releases both by Oliver and Iboga. My favorites are 1(!!!),3(!),4,5(!),6,9(!!!) Overall Rating 8.5/10 P.S Although the quality of the digipack is very high the artwork is at least bad in my humble opinion,i expected something much better for such a good album.

I own the latest GMS album for long time now but only today i listened to it while playing Pro Evolution Soccer on Playstation 2 and checking some new tactics against the computer which proved to be a better opponent than my younger brother and his stupid friends that think that can beat me by choosing a 4 forwards tactic and leaving their midfield area quite empty, those damn kids shall never learn no matter how many goals i score against them... Spun Records introduces us to the album of their major artists,a really anticipated release since the last GMS album was released something like 3 years ago on Spirit Zone Records and i was very very suprised to find out that noone did bother to post a review about this album on the forum,i mean GMS is one of the most talked bands out there and i thought that while browsing the forum i would find a review with 4 pages of posts and a thousand views but instead of that i found absolutely nothing!Really strange indeed. So lets see what we have here... Tracklist 01.GMS And Wrecked Machines-Rounders 02.GMS And Wrecked Machines Featuring Sebastian Claro-Dance Of The Warthog 03.GMS-Higher 04.GMS-Baty Boy 05.GMS-No Way 06.GMS Featuring Deedrah,Joti Sidhu And Sebastian Claro-Psychedelic Adventure 07.GMS And Michele Adamson-I Can Feel Da Music 08.GMS And Sebastian Claro-The Ring 09.GMS-Fingers 10.GMS-Juice (Live Version) Review 01)The album starts with a collaboration between the GMS guys and the brazilian producer Wrecked Machines.Rounders is a much talked track and i remember seeing the name on many top tens and discussions in various forums on the internet. For me this is a nice dancefloor track with some catchy fast melodies in the backround and good production quality but nothing really impressive or innovative here.Could be a good highlight in a various artists compilation but gets lost for sure in the GMS album where most tracks sound more or less the same.Still its a good effort that works preety well on the dancefloor. 02)Second track we got the same line up plus Sebastian Claro who if i remember correctly is a former member of GMS.Again what we have here is another dancefloor tune with good and clear sound but with a great feeling of emptyness left to the listener after the tune is over.I mean ok the kick and baseline combination is good but everything else is overused, same sounds, effects, tricks with vocals and stuff.Just another average GMS tune with no story inside the track, nothing more nothing less. 03)Third tune produced by Riktam alone.Take the typical GMS sound, put a cheesy and childish vocal in it and you got Higher. This is a below average track that made me laugh when i listened to that higher vocal,i mean ok you wanted to use that vocal Riktam, why the heck did you have to do it three times during the track?I mean its not something good and the lyrics are not sophisticated at all so WHY OH WHY did you use it?Obvious lack of time spend on this tune and imagination used,i mean even the way the vocal is used the first time in the tune is exactly the same as the vocal rounders is used on the first tune of this album.Skip this one fast. 04)Next we got Bansi alone with Baty Boy.The sound is little different on this one and at least we got something like a concept since the sounds in it sound like a bat scream or like a horror movie theme but still nothing interesting here,i mean i cant imagine how could someone dance under this tune without being the joke of the party while trying to follow the melodies and the rythm of this track.Sorry but i will also skip this one really fast. 05)Ok here we have Riktam alone again and while i was prepared to send these guys an email and ask them to please stop making tunes alone since the result is really bad at least comparing to the tunes they make together i was really suprised by the atmospheric intro of this tune and closed my Outlook Express and focused on the track. The first three minutes of this track are really good and groovy and the pads on the backround remind me of some older music from 4-5 years ago when there was emotion into the music and then producers knew why they spend all this time in front of their computer and hardware. The melody that comes after the third minute is indeed cheesy but ok suits quite well with the rest of the track and is quite catchy and danceable on the dancefloor. Then some nice atmospheres again and then (unfortunately) the same melody.I also liked the last melodic part of the track. This is a very nice track indeed and if someone could reduce the usage of that cheesy melody and replace it with something else then this could be a great favorite. So far it is for sure the best tune on the album and if i was a dj i would for sure include it somewhere in my set.Nice one Riktam try to focus more on this Zorba mixing GMS style,i think that people will like it a lot. 06)Psychedelic Adventure is a track that i had listened couple times before since both Joti and Dado that are involved in it are usual guests of mine in Athens where i book them for various parties and they both introduced me to it before it was released and when it didnt even have a name i think, actually i got the feeling that this track has more than one editions, anyway forget about this useless info hehe. This is a very nice track and what i like the most is that it evolves a lot and features sounds and styles of all the artists involved in it,i mean you can listen to the typical Joti sounds somewhere after the fifth minute, the well known Deedrah melodies and backround work and ofcourse the GMS combination of kick and bass.Really nice one,you guys should work more often together if possible. 07)Next we have Riktam and Bansi working with lovely Michele Adamson.I love the introduction and the saxophone sounds, thats damn original and funky guys you should do that more often. The tune flows really nicely and is a pleasant listening experience, many ideas in it and the vocals are not overused at all, actually they are used in the best way possible.Great track and shows the real potential of the GMS guys.Highly suggested track. 08)The Ring starts good with a nice intro and a great tempo and kick and bass compination but thats just all about it.After the first couple of minutes the track becomes highly repetitive for my standards and in the end i felt that this tune had so much more potential to be fullfilled.Surely a wasted opportunity for a really good track, seems that the guys were in a rush to finish this one, such a pitty. 09)Fingers is the most common GMS tune you can find on the market.Fast tempo, cheesy and catchy melodies, usual GMS effects and dancefloor hit feeling. This track has its ups and downs but after the fifth minute it became really twisted and fast for me so in the end i decided thats its just an average GMS tune.Maybe i am too old for this kind of music. 10)Ok this is where i get irritated.Ok guys you got the Juice idea 4 years ago,the track was really nice and a massive hit all around the globe BUT WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO REMIX IT ONE MILLION TIMES AND RELEASE IT ANOTHER BILLION?You got it on the No Rules album, then you got it on The Remixes album, you got it in your new album now,you got it on the Spun DVD,you got it on Hollywood and i dont know how many other versions have i heared of this tune and whether i miss any other releases of it.Dont you think its about time you stop spending your time with this tune?No matter how good remix this might be people who keep up with what is being released on the market are absofuckinglutely fed up with this tune and with any other tune that gets exploited to the maximum.Show respect to yourselves,to your music and to your audience, its actions like this one (remixing and releasing an old hit for i dont know how many times) that gives food to various people to bash you and make ironic comments about you.Bansi stop playing with that Playstation,go to your Mac,choose My Computer, double click GMS_Track_Files,find Juice_Files,press the right button of your mouse, choose delete, then go to Recycle Bin and press the Empty option.Nice one mate now go back and kick Shanti's ass on PES 5. Ok overall this is an average album, there are couple of very nice tunes in it like Psychedelic Adventure and I Can Feel Da Music, couple of good tunes like Rounders and No Way but there are also some really uninspired and i dare to say even bad tracks (i mean we deal with GMS here not just another newcomer Israeli artist) like Baty Boy and Higher and a big letdown (not because it was bad but because it could be lot better) like The Ring. I really feel that GMS didnt give their album the proper attention and didnt spend the time needed in order to deliver us something fresh and innovative, yes the production quality is of high standards but that alone doesnt make an album good.I really think that Bansi and Riktam must change their attitude towards their music and stop releasing music just for releasing something and please the younger generation of listeners and keep getting more bookings on big festivals and events all around the world, after all these years in the scene i feel that they got the knowledge, the skills and the equipment to move to a higher level of music production and give something new to the people instead of the overused festival and party tracks formula. The missing key words here are HARD WORK and PATIENCE. My favorites are 1,5,6(!),7(!). Overall Rating 7/10 P.S For Gods sake get some proper artwork guys,if you run out of cash just let me know and i send you some with Western Union, just remember me on the thanks credits.

Now playing I.Zen-Blue Rythmic Night.....

Actually Skazi-Animal was something new, innovative, original and preety good for its time and for sure Skazi's best work so far and for ever i guess. I mean ok we dont like the guy (and with good reasons) but lets give him some credit about that release cause he really deserves it.

Dear Agia_Igoumeni what are you talking about? I critisize Texas Faggott (by the way i dont critisize them i just said and explained why they cant be considered as classic with facts) because i dont have the music skills to produce their music? Man i dont have the skills not to produce music like Texas Faggott but not even Safi Connection or anyone else simply because i dont have music skills at all, this doesnt give me the right to speak about music and even critisize other artists?Get yourself together mate you can do better than than and i know it

Actually i am thinking to visit that friend of mine in that cd printing factory and have some copies from some really rare cds and sell them afterwards. I mean it would cost me something like 300-400 euros to print any release on very few copies (like 50 copies each) but selling lets say each one of them for 30-50 euros could mean some serious money. Damn i should never post these words online hehe.

Thanks Furthur, just learned a new word in English

If you find the older releases by Hallucinogen,Koxbox,Transwave,Astral Projection and Man With No Name boring comparing to the productions of Azax Syndrom,Fungus Funk,Psychotic Micro and the rest you mentioned then you really should sit down and think whether you are trully into psy trance or not and whether the stuff you listen to are psy trance or something else. Damn where is this scene heading to....
-
Delirious answered for me preety nicely i think.Hallucinogen,Man With No Name,Koxbox,Transwave,Juno Reactor and the rest have passed the test of time with great success while most of the other names mentioned like Penta,Kindzandza,Menog and the rest are names no more than 4-5 years in the scene,i mean you cant consider as a classic the Pentafiles album by Penta that was released something like 2-3 years ago.Hope you get my point. Also being in the scene for many years doesnt make you a classic producer either,i mean yes i do aggree that Texas Faggot are many many years in the scene but their music is known to few people (comparing to the classic producers mentioned earlier like Juno and Simon) and actually its a very controversial music even for the psy trance fans,i mean some people dont consider this music as psy trance therefore many of you name it finnish psytrance or suomi or whatever.Innovative and Original and Controversial yes but classic for sure no,only for its hardcore fans i guess.I mean Koxbox and Total Eclipse are respected and loved by the whole psy trance spectrum fans (or the biggest part of it) while Texas Faggott for sure are not.I mean i even dare to say that Texas Faggott case looks like Skazi case,i mean Skazi introduced something new to the scene with his hardcore trance sound and he even has thousands of hardcore fans around the world but can you really call him classic? For sure not since he isnt widely accepted in the trance scene, actually he has as many hardcore fans as sworn enemies hehe. I also love Vibrasphere and Juvenile and i think that they both offered something new to the scene but i really cant call them classic artists. Try to leave your personal preferences aside and dont think what is classic for you but what is classic for the majority of the listeners out there.
-
The guy is asking about the classics and people are giving him names like Derango,Psykovski,Texas Faggot,Xenomorph,Bigwigs,Artifakt,Psysex and more,i even saw Menog somewhere if i am not mistaken.... People the word CLASSICS doesnt mean 'what are your favorite albums' but albums that are considered as milestones in psy trance and that people will remember even after 20 years from today. With all the respect to the artists who the fuck is going to remember Penta and Kindzandza in 2026? Absofuckinglutely noone. But people will remember artists like Juno Reactor,Hallucinogen,Man With No Name,Koxbox,Astral Projection,Total Eclipse,Etnica,Pleiadians,X Dream,Electric Universe,Transwave,MFG,California Sunshine and some more SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY MADE TRUE CLASSIC TRACKS AND NOT JUST SOME NICE OR EVEN GOOD TUNES. So back to the original topic... Juno Reactor-Odyssey This is actually a best of compilation by Juno with tracks like Conga Fury (included in the Matrix soundtrack),Pistolero (one of the most original psy trance tunes ever),Rotorblade,Masters Of The Universe,God Is God and more. This is a cd full of CLASSICS so instead buying Bible Of Dreams or Shango (that are not so easy to find in our days) you can buy this one and if you like it (you will if you like good music) you can search for the rest of the Juno discography. Man With No Name-Teleportation This is a classic album containing one of the best and most recognised psy trance tunes of all times, the majestic Teleport plus many other classics like the remix on Greece 2000,actually its mostly a best of album by Martin since many tracks were released on other cds at the time but still an essential release. Hallucinogen-Twisted Although The Lone Deranger can be considered as an equally classic release the first tune on the Twisted album the magical LSD is the reason i am reffering to this release.Psy trance cant get much better than this cd. Transwave-Phototropic Ten years have passed from this release but this is still considered one of the best cds ever released and people cant wait for the upcoming Transwave album after many many years. No words to describe tunes like Land Of Freedom and Malaka Dance. Total Eclipse-Violent Relaxation One of the best albums released and yes its a double one.Psy trance and chill out and ambient music like you have never heard it before.A true gem in any psy trance fun collectro. Thanks to Avatar for rereleasing again this double cd. You asked for five albums so here are my suggestions. Dont forget though to check out the israeli releases by Astral Projection,MFG and California Sunshine along with some other legendary acts like Indoor,Tandu,Chakra and Edi Mis and even Mystica and Power Source for the goa trance fans. Ofcourse no need to praise X Dream,Electric Universe,Koxbox and Etnica,i mean their older releases are classic rarities and some people pay a lot of money for them and this is not just a coincidence There are many other names i havent mentioned like Deedrah,Dino Psaras,Joti,Tristan,Prometheus and more but if you are really interested into discovering good psy trance i am preety sure you will find them in your way.

Actually it should be.... I'm playing Wav's.... ....Only joking.

Electric Universe - Silence In Action [Planet BEN]
DETOX replied to amphiton's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
You must be the only person on this planet that attended this party that never actually happened since it was canceled 2 days before its planned date.I was responsible for all the bookings of that event and also i am the exclusive manager of Boris in Greece so i know very good of what i am talking about unlike you.I cant believe that people can actually lie for small things like that, tottally LAME. Now concerning Boris new album,i got an email by him two days ago and he told me that his new album will be released in May on his new Electric Universe Records label.I really dont know whats up with that Planet Ben Records announcement. Now concerning his new music i dont know what most of the people have heared but i think that Boris new style is really great and is a great combination of modern day full on with old school melodies and acid touches, just what we are missing in our days if you ask me. Respect to one of the true pionneers of trance and an amazing person. -
Etnica live is amazing and Max is one of the top 5 djs in the world concerning psy trance at least.

Deedrah-Reload and Green House Effect-Global Warming

Dragonfly AGAIN changed a label manager? If Youth isnt interested much in the company anymore i really dont see a point of keeping it there and not closing it,i can understand that this is his child but its better to finish something than keeping it braindead...
-
Cosmo i got my info from Martin himself. I dont know if there was any contract with Dragonfly or whatever but i know he is releasing his stuff on TIP from now and on.Dragonfly is not too active in our days anyway.
-
Martin is working with TIP Records and not with Dragonfly anymore so you should all wait an album sooner or later on TIP.
-
I like trance also
-
Well on the other side (though i never was in studio with the guys) my info directly from the group guys is that Carlo is yes indeed working probably the least of all but he is responsible for the melodic part of the tunes. And for sure that tune Space Care that i got is not neo full on comparing with the majority of the israeli artists out there who produce this kind of music.Yes for sure the kick and baseline combination sounds like full on but the rest of the track sounds preety psychedelic to me,guess its a matter of taste i guess.
