Artist: Outer Signal Title: Fabric of Space Label: 3D Vision Date: July, 2009 1. Intrance 2. Synchronizing 3. The Believer 4. Maniac Music 5. Transmission (feat. L.S.Dream) 6. Brain Wave (feat. Bliss) 7. Time Machine 8. The Human Mind 9. Fabric of Space 10. MK 22 What used to be a duo is now the sole project of Gil Stoler. This is a project which makes the night time psytrance in the vein of Timecode or Yabai Records. Like a lot of artists there have been some really good tracks and some...not so good. What I've noticed with this project is that they are heavy with the beat, dark atmosphere, and acid. But then they take that good and sh*t all over it with innumerable stops and starts. Unnecessary buildups and goofy sample manipulation. So what happens is you listen to the tracks again to see if you can just choke it down like a dry tuna sandwich and enjoy it. Now your breath smells like tuna and you're not even sure if you liked it or not. The Believer had me with crazy insanity, bouncy rhythm, and good lead sounds, but then just had to shoehorn all the stops and starts in there to kick momentum right in the tomatoes. But the majority of the track is so good I find myself choking down another tuna sandwich. And that's how the whole album is. I liked the vast majority of it and just had to push past the gag reflex when they did that other nonsense. Artists, please stop killing flow. Just rip the governor off the engine and let the beast roar. Psyhop

Artist: Various I guess? Title: Unexpected EP Label: 3D Vision Date: May, 2014 1. My Name Is Joe 2. Fuel On (Transwave Live Mix) Oh this was unexpected all right. Ok. Let's look at the facts. Awesome label in 3D Vision and the master(s) of psychedelia in Koxbox. Everything should be great. Got my pads on for safety and the helmet is cinched extra tight. Yet somehow this was a total clusterf*ck. Let's start with the Fuel On Remix. Transwave already tried this on the Frontfire album of 2009. Not content to leave well enough alone they Frontfired it again. Taken a classic track with zero flaws and full-on-ed it to the bone. It's too shiny and polished. I hate to bring up Astral and the album which shall not be named, but this lesson should've been learned a decade ago. My Name is Joe is a lot of pounding without any substance. Thumping beat and a lot of harsh, angry sounds. It's not often that I bash 3D Vision, but this one earned that treatment fairly. Beatport Mdk

Artist: Various Title: Fresh Part 03 EP Label: 3D Vision Date: April, 2013 1. Mutants - Absolum & Ex-Gen 2. Assistance Required (Powered by Absolum) - A-Mush Some of my favorite music is the stuff by Absolum. Inside the Sphere (almost 10 years old) still set the bar so unbelievably high. That high tech acid insanity never fails to get me moving. It's intense, moody and will take out more teeth than a hockey fight. Down goes progressive. The third part in the fresh series is more balls to the wall hyper trance that is purely unforgiving. Can't take the heat? F*ck you it doesn't care. So awesome it makes twilight music seem like ambient. More acid than a dead show it's slicker than oil with thumping rhythms and a frenzied pace. Get out of the way people it's an avalanche of awesome headed straight downhill and no f*cking St. Bernard is ever gonna find you. Only 2 tracks, but you can't handle more than that. Absolum and the Ex-Gen pairing rule and the A-Mush track pushes it to the edge. Whew. Hell. Yes. Beatport

Artist: Ex-Gen Title: Extreme Genetics 0.1 EP Label: 3D Vision Date: July, 2012 1. Awaken 2. Exhausted feat Khopat 3. Sharingan Sometimes you have to take a step back to regain a clearer view. I stopped listening to psy and goa for a while and focused on something else. Despite the sick moves you see here, I was not chosen to pilot the Mars rover. All politics. Seeing as how that didn't work out I now feel energized with renewed vigor for the music I love. Ex-Gen is one of the top producers of high-tech or twilight or whatever the f*ck the kids are calling it these days. Whereas full-on has taken on the form of cotton candy this style pours kerosene on said cotton candy, sets it ablaze and laughs as your kid runs away screaming that clown is a bad man. Groovy, melodic and intense with a dark edge. And he doesn't disappoint with this 3 track EP. This is an in your face smackdown with acidic leads, sci-fi atmosphere, and thumping beats. The first track doesn't seem to believe in easing you into things as it's boot is so far up your ass that you're spewing acid in a projectile fashion. Exhausted sees him join forces with fellow cotton candy abuser Khopat and it's how you'll feel when that whip like lead finishes with you. Once Sharigan gets going it would be like trying to stop a bullet train with a papeer towel. Go ahead, sure you can use Bounty...knock the mustache off that 70's porn motherf*cker. This is not music you take a smoke break to lest you be the one who gets smoked. I don't know what type of extreme genetic experiments are going on at 3D, but I'll volunteer. Anything for science, you know. Beatport MDK
