  1. Hi friends. My self-realesed album has been launched at Bandcamp. This one is dark and with old-school vibes (imo) The "care instructions" theme from my previous realese on Goa Galaxy continues here : https://ollelofstrand.bandcamp.com/ Listen and/or support it. Tracklist: 1. Let's Meet 2. Acid Meadows 3. Bio Labs Audiolog 4. Static Labs Audiolog 5. Chem B 6. Blighted Area (2022 edit)
  2. My channel features vintage audio equipment demonstrations and psychedelic music from vinyl records. I also DJ old school goa trance from the 90s. I was taught how to mix using house and techno techniques from my aunt DJ Dawna Montell and our style utilizes phrasing in unique ways to allow long, seamless, transitions from one track to the next by playing them both at the same time for an extended period of time creating an all new "third" track from the combined melodies of both records making it difficult for listeners to identify when one track ends and the other begins. There aren't very many goa and psy DJs who mix like me so I take pride in what I'm able to bring to DJing psychedelic trance. Ill leave a link to my most acclaimed mix. It currently has the most all time views on psynews site and was well received on soundcloud. Please like comment and share. Dont forget to subscribe. Let's keep psy alive for generations to come.
  3. My debut album has been launched at Goa Galaxy. This album may be for you who enjoys oldschool vibes, and the darker side of goa-trance. 4. Artist: Dimension 5 Title: TransAddendum Label: Suntrip Records Date: February, 2013 1. Altair 2. Zarkon 3. Strange Phenomena 4. Return To The Source 5. Caprica 6. Symphonic Switch 7. Alpha Particles 8. Deep Space 5D (Thai Remix) de·vi·ant - deviating especially from some accepted norm : characterized by deviation (as from a standard of conduct) <socially deviant behavior> I think I'm a deviant. Me peeking into Joske's window seeing what he's got up his sleeve. I mean, what he's listening to. Yeah, what he's listening to. What did you think I meant? Whoa, whoa hold on...he's way older than me. It's not like I comb the elementary schools for unsuspecting prepubescent boys in hopes to lure them away from the twisty slide and ask them if they will fart on this sandwich I've got in my bag. That's messed up. And a waste of a perfectly good sandwich. Suntrip: "What the f*ck? We asked him for this?" Ok, so I'm not a deviant, not even close. But you will see why I might be exhibiting deviant behavior. Here we have a release by one of if not the greatest Goa Trance acts in history full of stuff you've never heard before. Their album Transdimensional was one of the most superb goa trance albums of all time with more melodies than you can shake a stick at. All wrapped up in some thick deep space atmosphere. Now I'm still not over my man crush on the Mindsphere and Etnica releases and Suntrip goes and drops this gem on me? Oh well, like a dutiful Mormon I just smile and say the more the merrier. But carrying on a relationship with three people may cause some to label me a deviant. Moving on from one album to the next like the goa whores we are can be signs of deviant behavior. Or the greatest party of all time. Said every single guy ever. Now I believe that with Patience From Heaven and Live in Athens 1996 the bar has been set in the modern era. Again. Ok first things first the artwork (by Fabián Arturo Jiménez Gally) is light and beautiful. Nice enough in fact that I would love a poster of it on my wall. Except my wife would probably tell me to take my hippy sh*t to the basement cause it clashes with whatever motif she's currently got going on. I swear all my sh*t is down there, it looks like a hoarder lives there. Secondly there are going to be comparisons to Etnica's Live in Athens 1996 and that's understandable. Both artists are legends and two great labels are releasing tracks that have never been heard or are ridiculously rare. The difference is that this is a single disc of unreleased tracks. To be followed by another disc of rare tracks that were only on obscure vinyls. Pretty smart too cause the minds at Suntrip know that some people already have those tracks so why jack them for some stuff they don't need and make 'em buy a double album? But you know you're gonna get it, so just set aside the 20 euro from your part time job as a fluffer and don't think about it. Look it up. So how is it? The most important label in today's goa trance has an incredible track record consistently releasing quality album after quality album. For some perspective, in the big leagues if a player hits .400 he is phenomenal. I think only one player in the history of baseball (not sure, I hate baseball...so f*cking boring) has ever had a batting average like that during his career. Well this player averages near 1000 over their 9 year run. Melodic goa trance is what they do and they do it better than anyone else. Now I could be the fanboy that I am and just tell you that this is their greatest release to date, and everything else pales in comparison. But that's not how I write. This is a great album with 8 tracks that you've never heard before. Melodic and old school to the bone with more of their trademarked atmosphere you crave. At times it hits hard and during others track lengths are measured in trippy light years not minutes. It sounds great which is another feather in the cap of Tim Schuldt. And there is no question that if you're a fan of D5 or goa trance than you should most definitely buy this. Maybe I got spoiled by the Etnica release, but I missed having an insert detailing what the story was behind the tracks. But that has nothing to do with the quality music so who cares? But it's not Transdimensional 2. How could it be? When you've reached the mountain top how much higher can you go? There's a reason these were unreleased and the ones on Transdimensional made it to the album. That album is an absolute classic. So much so that Suntrip (damn these guys are good) already re-released it. They knew. But they also knew that we as fans of goa trance have a hunger for unreleased stuff. If there is a possibility of good tunes out there that we haven't experienced then why not let them see the light of day? But please don't call these b-sides, because I think that title demeans what they are. Whether they made it on the album or not, we wanted them. We needed them. Good on you Suntrip, this is a fantastic release. Suntrip Psyshop Beatspace GoaStore Mdk
  5. First release from the new founded label moontrip records. Luna Nova, or new moon, predisposes us for a dark approach as the inspiring beautiful cover art, expressing effectively the mystic essence of psychedelic trance. ------------------------------------------------- The first track starts dark and monotonous, with a midtempo rhythm, simple but effective. An indian like melody gets in, in a dark perspective. It continues in this way with ethereal effects coming in and out. It reminds me a bit of Twin Sharkfins mixture of hindu spirit in compositions along with a spacey perspective. Great track, midtempo but effective, makes you get in it, very psychedelic. Second track. Starts with celestial atmospheres, making it sentimental, and that's its direction, melodies and lines in trance style with a nostalgic sound. The atmosphere is wonderfull, great lines and buildings. At the final part, a melody gets in which sounds energetic in the beginning but has also some nitzhogoa influences, good and interesting along with other lines chord. The track closes with a bassline diversity and it's atmosphere. Third track. An simple acid line ends in a massive and deep start. The track continues alike with a mid tempo and with accompanying chords to the main melody theme. In the final part, it gets again and even more massive creating depth, feeling and nrg. Nice track. Although it has an oriental texture a bit too open for my taste, i think it's soberness, keeps it in a goa way. Fourth track. Start with an egyptian atmosphere and weird liquid effects. The rhythmical effects are bit too playful and try to give nrg, but the massive melody and its chord inspire us of nostalgia. Great floating lines and chords of a background melody that gives the feeling to the rest. This synthesis has a rich atmosphere creating depth and floatation. At the final part, after an atmospheric and simple passage, a magic melody sends us out of this world. I only didn't like too much the rhythmical playful effects in the most parts, but i might get used to it. Fifth track opens with a dark enviroment. It starts very good with great lines and sounds, a dark take-off in a midtempo pace. The building creates depth and a interest to follow, but the addition (from 2:07 until 2:34 and main melody 3:16 to 4:25) of this kind of oriental melodies, of a Bollywood style, it's quite foreign for my goa standards and taste, afterwhich a deep rich texture initiate us into mystical paths, a very nice passage leading to the atmospheric end. It is an attemp of the synthesis to mix dark goa with oriental trance. Sixth track, begins with an acid strong line. The track doesn't delay to reveal its essense and classification. It's nitzhonot / oriental trance. It's a wellmade composition for the followers of this style, full of variation, but not for my cup of tea. Seventh track. A more fast paced strong beat accompanied by drums fades in a brief intriguing intro. It is a more minimal composition with the exception of a nice melody making it's appearence at the half of the track and the final part, in which alot more is happening though managing to keep its line and itself in the theme. Very nice track. Eighth track commences with a full-on tribal beat from the beginning along with lounge sounding samples and sweet lines. I think its a more club approach. There is some goa influences at some passages, mainly around the half and an oriental turn at the final part. The track is ending in it's lounge tribal full-on beating. Again, not my cup of tea. Final track. A slower mid tempo under a continuous atmosphere. Nice acid lines and a mesmerising build up along with the atmosphere creating a more deep enviroment. The addition of a lounge-style line makes the track more mellow, but not annoying. This chill-out atmosphere returns after a passage of samples and builds-up. Nice track. ------------------------------------------------- All in all, a compilation that some of its parts focus to a more dark goa approach, while some others please more oriental or mellow affinities. I find myself in the first direction along with the mellow tracks, which do not differentiate from the authentic spirit. Personaly, i prefer mostly, compilations of certain direction. moontrip records, here in its first release, presented to us, in many parts, a new appearance of good goa trance creations trying to take a distance from the plasticity of the new school sound. That is very promising, and as a mystic and a follower of this sound, i am waiting from moontrip to extend in this direction.

  7. Title: Altering the Synaptic Controllers Artist: Ufomatka Label: Sentimony Records Release: 2 January 2018 Tracklist: 1. Multiplexer 2. Alien Controlled Human Exterminator 3. Fornax Cluster 4. Warper-mutator 5. Weird Species Sentimony records really summed this release up better than I ever could. "The release name came from nowhere and the dick knows what it is, but it will all fuck us out Get it now and have fun! " It fucked me out the first time I heard it. It's nice to see Goa artists step outside of the comfort zone of traditional 4 on the floor structures and just let loose with their tools. only 3 songs here are really Goa, the other 2 are more Break Beat, sloa styled fuck knows what (Like the track titles).... But they're interesting to say the least. Oh and quite good. 1. Multiplexer - Our journey begins a pretty radical baseline, simple but radical. The track plods along nicely reaching what we could call some sort of climax around the last act of the song. This EP is clearly gonna get points for standing out from what has been released recently. 2. Alien Controlled Human Exterminator - A bouncier track with analog leads pumping out at us as it goes along. The intensity builds quite nicely as random squelches and sounds keep things interesting. Ufo doesn't over use anything and keeps it fresh. 3. Fornax Cluster - The most melodic of the tracks so far. Funky baselines, pure analog shooting us into the unexplored dimensions of dirty space. What? you thought space was all magical and pretty. Well Ufomatka proves us wrong here. Acid drenched planets wizz by as our spaceship wipes grime from its windows. Beautiful in its own way. 4. Warper-mutator - Our hyperspace intergalactic travels have flown right down. Stuck now in the grease dripping, uninhabited bogs of another world, Ufomatka continues our journey. Very trippy track, the pa rum pa rum rum of the percussion really stands out for me. Analog AF. 5. Weird Species - The strangest of the tracks, about as alien as it can get. I feel myself floating through the final canals of our journey. As soon as it appears as though I might make it through to the other side I end up where I started. Looking at this weird species that managed to find itself here, altering synaptic controllers. Thats it folks. A truly wild and weird ride through Ufomatka's soundscapes. His creativity really stands out here and those of you that love pure rough analog, boy oh boy get a taste of this. While rough around the edges (I believe it was meant to be) you've got something here that really does stand out from what I've heard not only Ufomatka release but other artists in this genre. Keep it up amigo. https://sentimony.bandcamp.com/album/ufomatka-altering-the-synaptic-controllers
  8. Just finished. Musical influence: Juno Reactor, Ozric Tentacles, California Sunshine This is a free soundcloud release yet but maybe we will increase and remaster a few of our most recent songs to release an EP because our album release was more than one year ago now.

  15. Yep it's in the works and the album is now in production . Stay tuned as I will keep updating this topic. The style in this album will be ... well... that kickass old school goa Amithaba Buddha sound?? The new sound is really good and i'm positive all the fans will be happy , love , cherish and treasure this new upcoming album like all the other albums i have made. No full on , no progressive , no new school and so on , none of those new styles as you see the most known bands changing it and doing it. (I really ain't changing am I? ) Nope , just all the way down Classic and Pure Old School Goa . The way it should be , the way of my Ancestors. Me and my Family wish to thank those who deeply love my music and have been supporting it with all their Heart and Soul. /Filipe Santos https://submoonrecords.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/submoonrecords Disclaimer : This album will be for HOME USE ONLY. 16. Hi everyone, After having classified and listened quite "classic" Psytrance albums (old school), I perceived that I quite liked this particular sub-style. So my question is : is there still any "classic" Psytrance (with this fx driven Goa aesthetics) productions these days or is it a definitely dead style just as Proto-Goa ? For those wondering what it is => https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/70402-the-psychedelic-trance-in-its-entirety Examples :
