Anoebis
Well, I'm getting tired of that sound! They are making exact the same songs over and over again, and people still love it!? what's wrong with you guys!? shouldn't it be a little more innovative!? or can't they just change 1 key on their synth!? I hope they do, because I thought they were very talented!! Bom Shankar! Anoebis
Guest Zero the Hero
Totally agree, Anoebis, well done, mate! Boom!
Guest phaeton
well i agree that it sucks that they're using the same sounds all the time, but what i think sucks even more about many of their tracks are the melodies ... which probably also explains why i usually think their best tracks are remixes or collaborations a waste of talent really, 'cause they are very skilled at making killer sounds and energetic beats .. i really hope one day they will step out of their hit-formula and dare to experiment a little more to make things a bit less predictable and more spikadelic 'n mindboggling
Guest Setsuko
agree with Phaeton , and also with Anoebis ... there's even less going on in that kind of 'full-on' psytrance then you can hear in progressive 'minimal ?' psytrance... after all those years they they still don't evolve ... and they're not the only one ... Oli Wisdom is also non-innovative ... and that's why i like Etnica so much ... following the progression after every album makes them one of the best psytrance artists in history imo... ☻
Guest Raider
Well, I think Zombi Stomp was an different approach with the GMS sound... and very unpredicable.
Guest oa
HAHA - You guys are funny - well some of you -When bands like INFECTED or someone do change ther sound , or INOVATE - people bitch and complain - Maybe we need to start telling artiist how to or how not to make thier music -
Guest kadafi
yep Anoebis... I got tired of GMS' sound after listening to the first album I had of them (GMS&Systembusters).... couldn't understand why people liked it on the review page.... always the same synths, the same 'build up', the short frequent breaks........ ...music for stupid people I'd say (sorry if I'm insulting anyone here...) And of course I fully agree with Setsuko on the Etnica matter! I hope their next album is loaded with progression again... in the meantime, I can listen to Chrome.... ahhhh
Guest Setsuko
... their collaboration with Raja Ram is superb ... their best tracks imo ☻

Guest Firestorm
I think the Etnica dudes have more talent for making full on tracks, even though their later work ain't bad......
Guest lifeform
This post could be said about any sorta new minimal. I'm not gonna start complaining again, but i just dont understand why very talented acts that we all knew and loved back a few years are underachieving themselves. MInimal isn't new anymore, so stop saying that... It's boring and.... that's about it...
Guest Setsuko
yeah lifeform.... if Etnica would release every year an album in the Alien Protien style that would be realy cool ... because then they would also use the 'hit' formula over and over again... underachieving .... tssss and HomegrowBrazil , you sound like a very intelligent person. ☻
Guest lifeform
all i'm saying is they could put alittle more into their tracks now adays... Setsuko. You'd think they'd add.. Not take off.
Guest Slidingtrancer
I agree to the extent that GMS does the same thing over and over again, but so does every 3dvision act. Just look at the simple melodies in the last Nomad album, I mean cool beats and all, but melodies... People need to innovate, but you can't force artists into making something new, it's all about evolution of sound. Within 5 years there's gonna be a whole new approach in psytrance and people are gonna follow that trend and after that there will be another. Just wait and see... Guest me ,my brain and my frien
At present GMS are nice for listening for short time, but after a while i believe that they repeat themselves . Still i believe that in the past they produced very nice full on tracks , and i also believe that they are going to produce something big in the future... Be patient with them and do not try to critisize them so quickly.. GMS wil come back again with something good and very innovative , i am sure about that . Guest clive frog
GMS sound is changing, take a listen to some of the new stuff like Zak & Kracht, Pluginum, Sofi Candle, Jelly Delight and Zorro 130 , all of these are in their new more progressive style. Wait and see. The new stuff is very nice.
Guest Mike Indidginus
This is GMS here... Look chaps, give us a break eh? We've hit on a formula and now we're milking it for all it's worth. Nothing wrong with that. Just look at the Britney Spears' and NSyncs' of the world...
5-HT2
I HATE it when DJ's play too much GMS/3DV/Absolum style acid music, it makes their sets SOO boring!!! Yeah, most of the songs are pretty good individually, but if I can't listen to a CD or comp of them from start to finish in one sitting, it means that there DEFINITELY is not enough variety or originality. Just because an artist combines chunky bass, meaty rhythms, crunchy sounds, farts, squelches, varying acid sounds, and simplistic melodies in slightly different proportions than other artists does not make them original!! I won't deny that GMS, Absolum, Talamasca, Nomad, Neuromotor, Activate Morlack et al. have made some killer tracks, but there really does need to be more variety in the sounds they use. Also, VERY FEW tracks in this style make me fly like those of Hux Flux, Logic Bomb, Hallucinogen, Infected Mushroom, Etnica/Pleiadians/Crop Circles, Oforia/Tandu/Pigs in Space, Space Cat, Astral Projection, Battle of the Future Buddhas, Ka-Sol, Cosmosis, Quadra, who are much more consistent in producing tracks that are truly mind-blowing rather than merely acid-filled. ---Rudi
Guest Eshanti Brahman
Oki,they have the same sound............but GMS and Raja Ram are a good couple! Still,GMS sound works well as dancefloor stompers. And I think Etnica's Nitrox album suxx bigtime. The last good song I heard from them was the Casa Blanca which was not quite old Etnic (good!). Some of their new songs gives me no kind of input. I am not saying that GMS is better than earlier Etnica, but I think Etnica is given way more credit than they deserve right now :-) I only wish for some Pleiadians ;-)
Guest russ
the gms/3d vision sound is a parady of themselves, and the parties that play this only become a pardody of the parties of years ago. sad, but certainly nothing to get too worked up about. once some people get a hit, they milk it for all its worth--organizers and artists--until one day people are laughing at them... Guest --==MileS==--
As someone suggested above GMS is a little weak in the exciting-track-writing department. When GMS remixes works of others I am often surprised that they manage to make it sound better and more danceable than the original whereas their own tracks are point- and directionless acid stompers which get boring pretty fast... They need someone in the crew with ideas and the ability to write down killer tracks, only then GMS will become relevant again...
Guest Elysium Pject
Well I just have one thing to say - If you don't like don't buy it! why waste your time complaining about something you can't change?
Guest Setsuko
fully agree with 'Mr.-where-is-the-ro' just listen to what you like and stop wasting your time with complaining and spreading negative energy ... ☻
