.. there's a psy track, at least about a year / year and a half old now that has the theme from 2001.. anyone know the track?

Eternal Return by Ubar Tmar starts with it...But I doubt that's the track you're thinking of.

... why do you doubt that? Is it rare, or unreleased... because Ubar Tmar is one of my favourite artists, it would only make sense i'm looking for a song by him =)

Well, because after that it has a really long-hair-metal sounding part, which stands out more, so I'd be REALLY surprised if the part that stood out to you is the part with 2001.

 

Kinda like if someone said "I'm looking for this movie about these IRA guys who kidnap someone" and it turned out the movie was The Crying Game. It's in there, but it gets eclipsed by the rest.

heheheh.. yeah ok .... i don't know man, if i said "i'm after a psy-trance track with a really long-hair-metal sounding part" i'd expect a big list of tim schuldt, S.U.N Project and so forth. Everyone knows the 2001 theme!

 

either way, i'm not 100% convinced that Eternal Return is the track that i am looking for... this 2001 track i heard at about 2 or 3 parties in the space of 6 months, and i'd be fairly suprised if in that period of time all these dj's were pulling out the same old record! Either way, i'm set to find out in a week or so =)
