Guest Visitor from Trallala
I was at a party another day and heard a song that had a melody (or something very similar:) that was made with really short sounds (all eqully short as i remember). Can't tell much more, cause it went on so little time, but it was reeally weird. More electronic thant synthetic. Oh, and it was DEFINETLY not old school. Style of music in there was not melodic, and it didn't stand out. It was very filtered so it really didn't sound like melody. And some elecric buzz in background there was making rythm. (Chords or smthng:?) So, if u got ANY suggestiond for that song, plz give them out, I'll try.
Guest jyxx
short sounds.... there's one track i can remember: psychopod "carnage vision"... it's really made of miriads of shorts sounds, but it's definately not what you mean...
Guest Visitor from Trallala
Thank you but only "carnage vision" that I know is from Xenomorph (same duudsons???)??, and that is definaetly not what I mean. The sounds in melody were pretty thin, and they wee so sharp that it sounded like effect-percussion, but it was not. There was some empty space between sounds than sound, so they kind of floated in air (so it was not very "thick" melody:). The melody was first with kickdrum (mabbe some other sounds [bass?]) and then the song started to grow (with mldy). Oh, btw it was not bass melody, if that was unclear, and not very complicated rythmwise, but yet interesting. Little like Tromesa-weirdness (but only little). Anyway, if anyone anymore can make anything out of my definition, then good and thx. I almost can't myself. (and btw. there are too many ()'s in this post, sorry). Guest Quazzi
The only one i can think of is Metal Spark- Digital Dent, and this song is about 7 years old and very hard to find, it's only available in the return to the source cd "Shamanic trance 1 mixed by dj tsuyoshi suzuki". Dude, that's a real shot in the dark. :-)
Guest Quazzi
Or it could also be Dark Soho- From beyond in the Sun Spot album.
Guest kZi
Prex or S>Range?
Guest Visitor from Trallala
Thanks, I checked those out. Dark Soho it is not. From beyond is way too snarly. It was not so hard track. It even could have been some of better S>Range tracks but is not (as far as I know). I don't think its Prex track either. Digital Dent is very nice track, but not the one. Closest sound I've came across is in S>Range - Micron Transponder (nice track too) in about 4:10, but otherwise the track doesn't sound the same. Sad I can't give any more precise definition, but there is so much great music buzzin through my head that I just can't. My memory is already playing tricks on me. It's stupid, because the definition I gave could be thought to mean almost any psy-track, since 95% of melodies are made with heavy filtered short sounds . But it was not like everything else that comes out these days. Mabbe I still find it some day. And of course, suggestions are still welcome. Guest lysergic
sounds like a logic bomb track...
Guest Dude Descending
Was it a more techno-trance-stylish track or psy? maybe Procs - Tropical Treasure on VA - Scrambled Heads? somewhere in that track it pop ups a a melody in very short notes..
