Guest dam10n Posted February 24, 2002 Posted February 24, 2002 cheesy = too over the top, like predictable snare rolls (or kick rolls) getting louder, till there's a little break, totally silent, and then a sample like "travelling in space" then it comes in with a huge everything and it's all so heard-it-before. also with melody, anything too happy melody-wise is usually called cheesy, think of the paul van dyk sort of thing and apply that to psytrance. cheesy. or, it could be another matrix sample, that wrecks a track, then that's cheesy. or it could be yahel who just *looks* cheesy, making him cheesy, and everythign he touches cheesy (though sometimes it works). cheesiness in general culture - think the sort of smile from duffman off the simpsons or the gay space captain in futurama.
