Bahamut Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Steve Roach - Arc of Passion (first half) Incredible. What a total genius....and to perform this live even. :clapping: After the 20th minute and on, the piece reaches a sort of perfect momentum. You want it to continue forever. This is simply unparalleled. This is what electronic music is all about, to me. Quote

PKS Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Segment - The Gelfling (Uru Mix) has gone on repeat in my stero several times today :drama: http://www.discogs.com/release/223708 I guess it's what you can call a trippy track..... Quote
exotic Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 M.E.E.O - Ball of gum :clapping: This track comes so close to being the perfect piece of musical composition ive ever heard. Everything from a great suomi style bassline, enchanting quirky melodies to the flow , this track has it all. The variety of sounds this guy can come up with is nothing short of amazing. Sounds very suomi , proggy , and a little oldskoolish too. A perfect blend of funky mind-bending psychedelic. The more i listen to this album , the more i like it. The guy is obviously super talented. Hoping to hear more albums like this by M.E.E.O Quote
Bahamut Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Manuel Göttsching - The Private Tapes - Deep Distance (Concert, 1976) Old skool electronica FTW Quote

Bahamut Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Vangelis - Dimitri's Bar Kinda cheesy but I still like it. Quote
Bahamut Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Art of Noise - The Seduction of Claude Debussy - Il Pleure (At the Turn of the Century) I can't really get into the rest of the album, but this track remains completely brilliant. :clapping: :drama: Quote

Bahamut Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Had this one vinyl once.. lost it some how, but what a journey hopefully my parents have it still. Some parts are so fantastic it almost makes me cry, like the final track. To me it's just about the greatest electronic album of all time, along with a handful of others, which are also electronic/ambient/space music naturally Quote
ironmonkey Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Had this one vinyl once.. lost it some how, but what a journey hopefully my parents have it still. http://www.michaelstearns.com/ It appears you can order some of his recordings there. Unfortunately "Planetary Unfolding" (as of this writing) is currently out of stock. Perhaps that will change. Quote
alleycat Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Earsugar-Stay That robotic synth underlying the lead (if you know what I mean), oooh, I love it... Such the perfect morning prog track, energetic but smooth, melodic but trippy... B) Quote
