Tatsu Posted December 22, 2001 Posted December 22, 2001 when you are the last dj at a party, do you play a special last track in your set or do you just finnish as usual? i don't play at parties so i don't know if it would work with people but if i mix a tape for someone i make the last two tracks california sunshine: summer 89 and then jörg on mushroom: the messenger. Guest Philip C. Posted December 22, 2001 Posted December 22, 2001 The messenger is a great track to finish with, but I usually go out with a climax, and play Hallucinogen : Jiggle Of The Sphinx... but I haven't played live yet, probably going to do a set in February, and use the Jiggle Of The Sphinx. Guest bugbread Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I've only played live once, but I think a perpetual concept of mine would be to "end with a jig". The show I played ended with Angel Johnathon (I played The Messenger two songs before it), and I'd like to end the next one with either Darshannan or Jiggle of the Sphinx. So far those three are the only jig-ending tunes that I know of...any others? I don't think it would be a great idea to play the exact same last song at every gig, because your fans would kinda get tired of it, but I think playing the same first song would be kind of interesting. It would be the common point of divergence (?). Quote
Guest Cujo Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 Playing the same tracks in general in your dj set, makes it boring.! Quote
