hux flux was great.

they went on at 3:30 and played for an hour and a half... they kept up the intensity the entire time. I'm not too well-versed in their repetoire, but I recognized Idiot and Lex Rex Perplex as songs that they played. They closed their set with Errorhead, which was nice. Plus, their new stuff sounded great.

Anti put in a solid performance as well. He went on right after Hux Flux, and started his set out with some crazy, scandostyled weirdness, then progressed to a calmer equilibrium as the morning hours advanced. His mixing, for the most part, was very good (as to be expected). I couldn't tell what medium he was using; he very well could have been mixing both cd's and records... The only song I remember recognizing was Morphem's Return To... I felt his track selection was good, but I was expecting some softer material come 7:30, which was when my friends and I left.

Overall, great party, glad I went. You just can't go wrong with Spiral Trax! =o)

Kick ass. I would have loved to see hux flux live... Did they have all their synths and boards up there, or did they just spin their own tracks?

Am curious- you say "they" for Hux~Flux- is there another but Tapper? I thought he was the only one of that group by now?

Hux Flux is currently Dennis Tapper and Henrik Fietz. They wrote the Lex Rex Perplex/Errorhead EP, and (i'm assuming) all subsequent material together.

they were not only great, but their set was extemely "live":

in addition to the requisite laptop, they had a nordlead, a multitrack mixing console, and some old Roland analogue machine, possibly an SH-101 (?) ... not too sure though... if someone else knows what kind of equipment they usually use, that would be helpful

in any case, they were both constantly tweaking and playing the synths, plus they switched positions many times, so they were each doing a lot of "live" effects. most excellent!

I thinkk just dennis did most of the various tracks released on comps- Degauss, Idiot, Snickesnack, Logarythmic...

Also did they have that kickass "funny" vibe going on like in the Idiot and Bring your own Bios? Man that style is beyond cool- so cool it's acting silly about it, totally tongue-in-cheek... i hope they keep on with that style...
