I have no clue what the hell llazi is talking about.

Of COURSE the people who MADE mp3 are going to say it's perfect, dude....... it's THEIR product..

mp3 sucks imo , at a belgian partyforum ... there is a guy go announced a party and he admitted he'll only play mp3's (not even burnt on cdr) ... so the guy will be mixing behind his screen ... and the worst of all is , he says he buys his music (original cd's) and compress them to mp3 format ...

to me , mp3's are not all about the soundquality ( but it's is a big factor) ... it's more about the respect you have for the effort of the artists and labels ... and imo the prices will get higher and higher because of all this mp3 hype ... which is very sad ... for example the cd sales of 2001 got redused with 2000000 compared with 2000 (and this only in our very little Belgium) ... so , the global effects are enormous ...

mixing at parties with mp3's is like stealing money from a blind man .

btw , fully agree with Matt - it's so obvious they are the ones how are 100% sure there's no difference ... this is no reliable source imo

I always feel bad mentioning that as well for some reason, Janua.....

But now that you've broken the ice, I'll second that! When I'm tripping the difference seems to be multiplied by 37. Maybe 38 ;-D

lol the difference is more noticeable, at least ;-)

I agree with Tom Jaimz, Strumpling and others who say that: 1. There is a difference in the sound quality. 2. Using burnt cds of mp3s at parties is cheapening the whole scene. 3. It is disrespectful to the artists not to give something back. If the artists can't survive from making music then they have to get a "normal" job, which is a waste of talent and deprives us of the music we love. 4. Mp3s do have their use. Example: to find and listen to new music before you buy it. I also have to say that the money excuse is lame. I don't make @!#$ for money (about 200 u.s. dollars every two weeks) and after rent, bills and other expenses I still am able to buy some psytrance cds. Not as many as I would like but that is aside from the point. The point is: I love psytrance and I also respect the artists enough to spend the little money I got to buy the music and thus support the scene I love.
