Guest Mike D
I am thinking that once my mini studio and dj set is up, I would like to run a small party. My idea is to try and take it back to the old days, when the party was run and organised around the time of day/night. So run in sections like sun down, night time, sunrise and morning. I would like to mostly have local Aussie acts and dj's, but if an international was in town it would be nice :-) It is a plan and probably wouldn't happen for quiet a while. I am wondering if any local aussies in the scene here would mine contatcing me about the idea? Just a party to bring back the true Goa vibe. Thanx! Strumpling
my opinion: Parties are good. Parties are fun. -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- as long as "bad people" don't show up.... whatever that means..... ::: :: : Smacks himself : :: ::: *ahem!*
Guest Afghanfan
Getting big acts to play usually takes cashish. If you really wanna take it back to the "true" Goa vibe then you should play yourself. Otherwise go for it!!! What will you call your party group?? Matt you masacist!! :-) Peace in
Guest Mike D
my mates and I are thinking that once we combine my pc, keyboard (Korg - MS2000) with their sampler and Roland 505 along with the group of about 4-5 dj's we will reigtser the label name of "Off Topikk Rekords" and we have a proffessional artist who is desinginig a logo for our web page and also for cd's covers of a brick wall with the name spray painted on to it. OInce it gets going maybe next year, we will hopefully release a break beat mix compilaiton on cd, and have a limited number of free t-shirts to go with the cd. We already have wroked out a few artist names... for me and my mate James and Nick who will be creating Nu Breaks and DrumNBass/Jungle we will be called The Bass Monster, my goa/psy name is Dark Forest and my chill out name is SooSoo, also my dj name's are the same. I haven't had ahuge amount of experience in eith dj or production, but once my gear is up and running, the sky is the limit! Practice and also will be relearning my piano/composition skills! Once these things are under control, I am gonna follow one other dream, learning the bass guitar! Hopefully will be well on the road by the end of this year ans till fit in my trip to India!
