Guest Spectral Collapse
Hey guys, i was just at cdnow.com and i saw a Hallucinogen CD entitled "Live." I was just wondering if anybody has a track listing for it because cdnow doesn't have one... and niether does cddb.com. Thanks

Guest dam10n
in theory it could be a bootleg... but the project was failed so many times by hilarity and ineptitude that as basilisk says they canned it. last time i asked them about it they said, "don't hold your breath" so I would advise eveybody else to heed the same warning otherwise we'll have an awful lot of dead, blue-headed psyheads. Guest lifeform
It'll be backordered forever. There is no such thing.

Guest lifeform
calm down, basilisk. There are many sample cds out there that all artists use, once one person owns it doesn't mean the rest of the world can't. It's not copywritten to their name or nothing, all royality free. And i'm sure most of these artists have never even heard the track with the "original" sample in it.

Guest bugbread
Simon P uses an ASTOUNDING number of samples. Seems like half of Shpongle is made with sample CDs. Still, he does AMAZING things with those samples. so no complaints by me.
Guest Taika-Kim
Yeah, who cares about the process if the outcome is good? My solution to keep the things going fresh is to never sample another "techno" track. Anything else goes. (hmm. I really love the local library that has about a gazillion cheap ethnic CDs from around the globe) And about "sound stealing": I don't think anybody can own sound anyway so it's pointless to complain "oh this fellow stole my kick drum that's so wrong I hate him!" At the end we'll have to give up everything anyway, so why cling to material possessions at all?
