Guest bugbread
Download and listen: "Paco De Lucia - Introduccion Y Pantomima". Don't ever let people tell you that sampling is cheating.
shpongled
Hey.. I just asked that in Hallucinogen's site... but nobody answered.
Guest bugbread
Yeah, I just saw it there : ). As far as I know, he doesn't have to credit Paco de Lucia on the CD if he isn't requested to, but he DOES have to pay royalties (which I'm pretty sure he has...Unlike most goa makers, he can afford to). I figured more people would see it here, since the Hallucinogen's homepage is pretty moribund.
shpongled
Ok.. ........but I think it would be nice if people would credit original artists.......... now everybody thinks it's Simon who created those beautiful melodies.
Strumpling
That, I agree to completely. This makes the third significant melodic section in a Shpongle song that I've found out was sampled (the other two are the main melody from My Head Feels Like A Frisbee, which is the theme song to a morning show in France, and the tribal vocals (Tuvan throat singers, etc.) at the start of "Divine Moments of Truth" on the World selection of a (sample CD). Of course, I knew the tribal singing was sampled, but because there are about three or four types of vocals, I assumed he picked different samples and mixed them, but, nope, they're mixed like that right on the sample CD. I suppose it would be nice of him to point out that he uses a lot of samples, if just to avoid giving the wrong idea.

Guest God
Despair not, my son, for there is still hope to be found amongst the lands. Behold; And see, my omniscient knowledge tells me that the name of the imposer is actually Bugbread and that he is from the Kingdom of Japan. A fine kettle of fish, indeed. For know that God hates all imposers. As for now, though, I have other fish to fry. Sincerely yours, God.

Guest bugread
Damn, I did it AGAIN!!! As you probably saw, there's a thread in General with/about fake Strumplings. I don't know who the original was, and that was uncool thing to do, but then a lot of people added posts to the thread as Strumpling, and I was one of them. Unfortunately, since it buffers the last name and email you enter, I forgot to set it back. Sorry Matt. -bugbread
