ok, my cd shop owner rang me to tell me this just came in. I gfot no idea what to think. Can someone tell me is it a cimpilation or album? And is it good? What Style?

And also the latest Sonic Fusion, has one been released this year? Is it good?etc.

Great Leap Forward (GLF) are Australian. I think its actually one guy who has been playing some quality psy down here for a while now. He did just release a new CD on Dragonfly.

Its nice stuff. Slightly melodic, but good to listen to. Probably worth the buy....

Flying Rhino, not Dragonfly. And yes, he's from Sydney.. Nice morning vibes.. He had a track called 'Whales' on Eighth Flight.

hehehe, well marius is israeli, but he does live in sydney...

 

he came up for the awakening festival earlier this year, and i must say i was quite suprised!

he played after magus at about 7 or 8 in the morning and i was expecting boring proggy stuff, ie - because of the flying rhino thang (clarifier - i do like some proggy, but at 7 in the morn i just wanna dance my ass off!!!)

... but the style he played was great, hard to describe ... very percussive but full-on melodic at the same time, heaps of morning energy thats for sure!

I can heartly recommend this. Cinkofa by GLF is excellant stuff. I just did an review for one magazine. This is quality produced stuff, melodic and same time minimalistic and experimental. Beautiful long tracks and at same time danceable. Sometimes reminds me of old skool trance like Sven Vaeth. Get it and enjoy the coming spring days.
