Guest kingdok
Can anyone tell me what to expect from this?
Guest Jikkenteki
I haven't heard the whole album, but Tsuyoshi was playing new Joujouka stuff the last several times I saw him in Japan before I left last fall. If you likes the older Joujouka stuff you probably won't be disappointed. Tsuyoshi has been sing alot of seriously hard and funky break beats type stuff (which he somehow manages to make work in the middle of all these psy parties I kept seeing him at) and the new Joujouka stuff is in that same vein. Now can anyone tell where were to get the new one sort of waiting till I moved back to Japan?
Guest Kakoolalajwal
Hello hello !!! Jikkenteki : are U the one who displayed music on mp3.com ??? When yes, well, I've listened to your music.... What can I say ??? it's good, but toooooo much psychedelic for me... I mean there are too many samples and sounds playing simultaneous sometimes... It's a bit pity, and I'm sure that if U put less soundz on your patterns it will be more efficient. Your beats are pretty well built !! Like many Japanese producers... Take care ! Ciao ciao And Joujouka can be bought without fear !! it's just amazing !
Guest Jikkenteki
Hi Kakoolalajwal, Yes I am the one on mp3.com. I agree. I have come to the same conclusion myself that as of late I have been a bit thick on the layers and have been trying to par things down a bit, but I think part of the problem is that I tend to like really freaking thick sounds. On some of my older stuff I had a few people saying that it was just too think with 7 or 8 layers of stuff going at once. The funny thing was that with the gear I was using at the time the thickest anything ever got was drums, a bass line and two synth lines. Back to the topic at hand- Saiko Sounds has samples of the new Joujouka so you can check it out there. It is a bit more organic than the first, with more real insturments and vocals and such, but still very much Joujouka. I ordered it so I can say more about it when I listen to the whole thing. Guest Kakoolalajwal
Thank U, Jikkenteki, 4 your explanations. I consider great that U hear (or read..) what people tell U about your music. It's the best way to go on, I think. U know, I like psycho-soundz, no problem.... But as U understood it, too many layers just kill the harmony.... too much sounds kill the sound ! Well, U just developed my curiosity, and I'd like to hear your new stuff !!! I hope that you'll be able to find a label... Good luck 4 the future and take care !! Ciao ciao
