Guest Blaaargh
GMS sucks. They were good in 96, I remember "Jaws" and "Rollercoaster" and a disco-track. After that everything sounds the same. Boring! GMS is definitely not psychedelic. A lot of people admire their sound and I think thats a shame.

Guest Protex Midget
Although i think these "hate topics" are kinda stupid, i must agree that GMS sucks. Their early material was fresh and good, but now all there music sounds exactly the same...

Guest mr peculiar
obviously most of you havent heard what gms have been doing recently and therefore are only judjng thier music by what youve heard i can tell you now that they are moving in very new directions and i have heard some amazing NEW sounds and ideas coming out of thier brains ... GMS will continue to rock partys as they always have BOM!
Guest Blaaargh
No I am judging their music by what I NOT heard. Good for them, it is ABOUT TIME they changed, after sounding EXACTLY the same for 4 years. Extremely boring. I could play you 18 tracks with the SAME sounds! Utterly butterly boring. Actually I could go as far as to saying they destroyed the scene together with X-Dream. Suddenly everybody wanted to sound like either GMS or X-Dream and we had the extremely boring sharp no-melody sounds and the same crunchy bass-sounds in every single track. I remember a party I went to in Portugal where they played something that sounded like the same track for 18 hours. Lots of GMS there, it was awful! But of course people took a lot of drugs so they enjoyed it, but they would have enjoyed the sound of a train rushing by as well. Bleh. Guest narwhal
It's not GMS's fault that other people want to sound like them. At least GMS has been responsible for some of the best cooperations of the last years. (with Spacecat, with Deedrah, with Wizzy Noize, with Absolum, to name a few) And no melodies? Come on! I agree that they publish a lot, but see it as with the golden era of jazzmusic: in the forties and fifties jazz musicians invented and re-invented their style every concert, every jam session, every recording session. Today you can find masses of alternate versions of the same jazztunes by the same musicians. But no Jazzfan will blame the musicians for that. Don't blame GMS for your addiction to buy every single track they publish. If they didn't, people would complain that only some happy few people get access to it. Guest roopak@procyonrecords.com
Whaaaaaaaat??? Man, they made the scene into what it is today. They're the Wu-Tang of trance!! More energy in their tracks than you can find in a whole galaxy!! I agree it can get monotonous for some but no one else can have a consistent style like that and still produce such amazing @!#$ repeatedly. Ok, not every single track is amazing but in terms of absolute numbers, they probably have more dancefloor killers than any other artist around. And they're probably also the hardest working artists around. Whatever man, GMS rule the scene...and I'm very proud to play a minimum of 4 GMS trax per set (and it's not planned like that, it just turns out that way!)...When was the last time you saw someone walk away from the dancefloor when a GMS track started. and as Mr. Peculiar said, you should hear their new stuff if you think it's getting a bit monotonous. Guest aje
well, i wont go to any of your sets then, gms is boooooriiiiiing! I always walk from the dancefloor when I hear GMS (or soundalikes)!!!!
Guest Blaaargh
Rofl! GMS = BORING!
Guest ZaRAMaTU
Well, I'm not so fond of GMS either. But I think it's better praising what you LIKE instead of whining about everything you DON'T like. No go listen to some Ozric Tentacles! Or Asura. Or Global Communication. Or The Gentle People. Or Goldfrapp. Or Twilight Circus Dub Sound System. Or Klaus Schulze. Or Bill Laswell. Or Wolfram Spyra. Or Shpongle. Or, or, or...the list goes on forever.
