Guest jonathan
Hey everybody. I just heard about the new Yumade CD. Now I love this guy and his music and I would buy it without hesitating on an ordinairy day, but since I am very low on bones right now I just wanted to hear from somebody that heard it already, and see if it is worth buying or should I wait until I make some extra cash. Guest Chong
You should buy it when u can - its very good! Altho unless u have a promo copy I dont know where u will be able to buy it until early May... I will be posting my interview with Pea on the site shortly. Heres some info about the album: One year after its launch, Databass Music is proud to announce the release of « Klanguage ». Since the release of « Danz Ego », Pierre ‘Péa’ Busson and Laurent Barateau teamed up again, evoluting to a mature and strong production appearing on labels such as Creamcrop, Starsound, Solstice, XIII Bis and Databass Music. Meanwhile, the Yumade Live-set performed more than ever in parties, festivals and clubs, rocking the floors worldwide with their unique & powerful style ! Track listing : 1 Insight 2 Cure à Sao 3 Traktopelle 4 Einmal ist keinmal 5 Le réel simplifié 6 Klanguage (live mix) 7 Anti-trust 8 Tempo drome 9 Tell it sweet 10 Linear bazar YUMADE was born from the reunion of two sharply distinct musical backgrounds ; Laurent Barateau was greatly influenced by music from the early 80’s and 90’s (Front 242, DAF, Nitzereb…). As far as Pierre Busson is concerned, after an intensive practise of some nine years of the piano at the « Conservatoire de Reims » (Regional music school), he opened up to electronic muisc by learning Techno production.Laurent and Pierre merged in 1997 to build their first home studio : YUMADE was born ! Their production was released by French and international labels such as 3D Vision, Creamcrop, Spiral Trax Int., Dragonfly, Shpastic Elastic, Liquid Audio,Starsound, Zma, Solstice, Databass Music… The YUMADE debut album : « danz ego » was released in early 2001 by Shpastic Elastic. This release presented the masses to the cutting edge music YUMADE was producing. Danz Ego was a great showcase of different blends of electronic beats, from electro and techno to psy-trance. This album illustrated the special Yumade brand, not only in the trance scene, but also for more electro and techno orientated publics. KLANGUAGE With this second album release, Yumade digs agap with today’s mainstream, showcasing an eclectic and compromise less deep& complex collection of introspective tracks, exploring various electronic fields without being “blocked” into one style. Klanguage presents 10 tracks (8 unreleased and very confidential..). All are dancefloor orientated, from the very progressive “Cure à Sao” to the extreme clubtool “Tempo Drome”, plus several full-on tech-trance stompers suchas “Klanguage”, “Anti Trust”, “Le Réel Simplifié”.. “Traktopelle” brings an electric techno flavour, that will fit stronger vibes... To end this collection, “Tell it Sweet” will delight more trancey audiences, just before a breakbeat trick called “Linear Bazar”. The Klanguage Tour is planned from April to June 2002, andwill perform around Europe, Japan and USA. Moreover a limited edition Klanguage Sampler 12’’ including original remixes is being produced now.
Guest Mark
To Chong Will the DataBass 4 release with Tempo Drome and LRS be the same mixes as on the album being released? (ie. is this the sampler you mentioned above or is it a different release) I just picked up this 12" and i must say it is outstanding, the production is insanely high, and the reverb is the most intense i've heard on a bass beat in a long time. LRS is an addicting track.
Guest Chong
Mark: The album Klanguage is also of a veryh high standard; musically and production wise. The 12" with Tempo Drome & LRS (DTB04) - both tracks are on the Klanguage album. The new sampler (DTB05) I was referring to, will have remixes of trax from the album.
