Still progressive question (not the same)

So, finally I think we have reached an agreement of what's progressive trance.

Ok... now I want to ask something else.

We agree that progressive is music that goes slowly adding melodies or sounds to reach a climax.

But from the track examples that were posted here, there were basically minimal or "like minimal" music.

Now comes the question :

How about space cat - space cats

From my point of view, that track fits the definition of progressive.

The track, starts with some strange sounds, than, the bass and beat, and slowly some sounds are added and in the end a totally twisted melody comes in freaking out for a while and stops at the end.

So, CAN FULL-ON BE PROGRESSIVE TOO??

Progressive does not have to be just one act or label. Any artist can make any music. I actually find SPace cat:

1. Funky

2. Deep Rising

to be very progressive as they start out very normal, but build up to amazing synth lines!

while in the more commecial realm, you could do worse than check out Sven Vath's "Barbarella" - my favourite Progressive house track of all time. Not psychedelic by any means, but might be up your street.... really chugging stuff.
