Guest Fry Brain
Well.... I'm really bored with psytrance these days. I look for new stuff everywhere but I can't find quality tracks. Everything seems the same. Like, the souund hasn't changed, the equipment used is the same, no new music tendencies and sounds. Can anybody give me a hand finding good music?? I mean, very new stuff, unreleased, promo... anything... even old, but sounding updated. If possible I'd be pleased!!! Thanks!! Boooommm

Guest kingdok
I tend to bounce back and forth a lot. When there's a dry spell in psy, I shift to another genre, then return to psy when I feel there's ample reason to. Usually, it's when I stop caring that things pick up again. ...like the release of a new Sandman album. (hint, hint)
Guest Syre
Make your own music then?
Guest Fry Brain
HAHA. Syre, i guess you were angry with my post. Just for you to know, I make my music. I've been a musician for a decade. But i'm not a dj.
Guest syre sucks
syre is the must unuseful human on this planet
Guest Max
Fry... i dont understand... i see no anger in syre's post.. it seems verry logical. The answer to your question is your own ability to find(and or make) music.. i dont see the need to shame a real answer to a real problem. Guest ks
well this is the perfect time to get intrisically motivated and make some music that gets us all interested again... so go for it man, i am sure in ten years you would have picked up some knowledge in the craft.. think about it, if you are bored wth the music, maybe that means you have reached the gate of the second half of your journey. So unlock the doors and start making good tracks,,.... anywayz peace... and luck
Guest bugbread
There's plenty of "different" psy. Check out: Haltya Pelinpala Muschaw Loopus in Fabula Odd Harmonic These are very likely to be unlike whatever you've heard so far.
Guest dam10n
Yeah bugbread is right, anyone who saw this week's reviews list from www.psytrancereviews.btinternet.co.uk (2nd plug and it's only just gone 9am - sorry) will know that I was piss bored as well last week (GMS... Alien Project... blahblahblah) will Loopus in Fabula and moreover Wired Alchemy came out on Demon Tea. And sunshine if you've not heard Haltya and the stuff Exogenic are putting out then this might be just what you're looking for. Whevener it looks @!#$, it suddenly gets better. Every turd has a silver lining. (yuk)
Guest Syre
I simply can't see how you can get bored? There are so much music. I've been in scene for two years, and I've never ever been bored.

Guest Fry Brain
Syre, i'm not bored with the music itself. Not like "I cant find anything that is good full on". Its that full on is too influenced by GMS and IM. Other artists make music too similar. Like, skazi is different, kox box is kind of different, astrix and OOOD. Thats what i'm talking about. Besides these guys(and others I didnt mention) there ara only a few with unique styles. Like you listen, and you can tell "uuuhhhnnmmmm, thats astrix". Or even new ideais, like mixing music that is not psytrance with psytrance.(like indian rituals, indian, chinese music). And about minimal I wanted something more like noma. They create grat atmosphere in the track. Its not like only the dark beats and bass with the sounds and samples. Understand now?? IT's not about the whole psytrance scene.
