Guest nomad
There is a melbourne based Aust. outfit called DECOY.They originally were an acid jazz band..one of the best in the country. These guys have so much musical talent it's scary(3 of them). One of the members ..Ian Chaplin..is arguably the best saxophonist in Australia. They started to focus on and write trance a year or two ago and since have written a bundle of really nice jazz flavoured trance tracks. DECOY so far have released 2 ep's and a track on the green ant cd that was remixed by Krusty. I doubt many people would have heard any of this. If you have and like it then the new music you'll love. Australians will be able to hear DECOY at the solar eclipse in december if not before. It's a fresh style that is very accessible, but by no means simple. They are planning to put some music on mp3.com i think but if any one needs more info e-mail me (especially labels)..this style of trance would fit perfectly on an "OTHERWISE" style comp.. Baluns, yeah.. bye..
Guest skeletor
Decoy... have heard of... a long time ago in (yes) Melbourne. Love the "Otherwise" style so they must have changed their style quite a bit. What Label released the Decoy ep's? btw I Can also recommend "Ju Ju Space Jazz" for more chilled excursions
Guest nomad
i'll get back to you on the release of the ep..when and how did you hear decoy...and (yes) their style has changed dramatically ..some serious trance with a bit of rumble and live double bass, percussion, and sax..it really is quite a show for both ears and eyes
