They were searching people EVEN from the entrance to the port for the Island! So they were catching you unprepared. Some people had money and paid the damn police. But many were wishing to make the money there.. and don't know what could happen to this people. One more thing!! POLICE entered the camping site and START searching tents! they caught a guy I knew. He was sleeping. I myself was tripping(on mushies) and saw police searching the tents near my tent! I didn't know if it is real or not if it's police or not. But soon I realised I am in danger, so took things from my tent and went away. Luky I guess. Anyways, they were taking you even for ONE JOINT!!! No kidding. Stay safe when you travel! Hide things well! if not very well. You never know people and society. Greek people wanted some money, and they got a lot from people giving money to save their freedom. Their "free" freedom.. AND FUCK THEM, we have a nice party, and every morning, between 8-10 we have to put our mindexplosers in the green area, and then you could feel free again (sorry my English).... I Want to tanks all the nice Greece organizers, for all the nice chats and the great histories, and all the hippie/zippies for the right feeling,... and I hope that the police get the right karma back,.. Because it was not just an order from the gov, it was there fucked up mentality, I have never meet that kind of human hate any ware in Europe, and Greece are inside EU,.. HAHAHA(It came from my ass). FUCK EU and love to the GLOBAL WORLD and free minds in all the world. One flag: The Mother Earth flag. Thanks again for a super festival. PS. They had been searching our tent when my friend was there, though. Not very interested in their job, these policemen; they had been searching for a minute and then asked (*laughter*) my friend if there's any drugs in the tent : ) I guess that her pretty face and the fact that the tent was an ultimate mess with all our things & clothes lying randomly on the floor saved our illegal substances and her : ) And then the other thing. My mom's camera was forgotten somewhere in the area and i'm longing for the film that is in it. It's a grey Canon, which is written in the front in the upper left corner and down in the right it says 'prima zoom shot'. In the back there's this small wheel you can switch to different positions; one of these positions marked with some text has a green background. If you make pictures of the film there should be photos of me; a blond, short haired boy and my friend; a japanese girl with dreadlocks. Maybe on that film also a picture of me in a tree with a white hat; if it is there then it's a sure identification : ) Please copy this mail to anywhere you think might be useful to find my pics. After beeing caught with something like 2g of Mrok and 2 joints, I end up sleeping at the Marine police with other 3 Portuguese guys who got caught trying to get the same boat and two beautifull German girls who had some LSD on them. The police was very nice:They put us some Trance tunes during the night, fed us with some Greek cookies, teaching us Greek card tricks and we ended up the night playing cards, and so on... Next day Court room:2 by two hand-cuffed from the Marine HQ till the Courtroom...hehe...hand-cuffs with one of the girls...we laughed the all time... 30 euros each of fine and the all 30 people (all to Samotrakhi)exception to overloaded people who carried many pieces and canot prove that was gonna take stuff like 200E in one week ...or 250 of MDMA who got up to 4000 Euros. Smoked the stuff they did´nt find on us and straight to Samotrakhi! I ended up sleeping for two days in the tent of a ex.cell-mate from Cyprus. Nice people...very.Funny how the spirit of the Festival was everywhere...even at the Alesandroupolos jail. I know that some people were taken on Acid while they went to get some drinks at the tent and took to Alessandroupolos basically freaked out...well I hope everyone that got caught had some spirit to hold on the situation and invert in something beautifull. I, myself was arrested in the port of Alexandropolis, even before I got to Samothraki island! And it's true, police brutality is in effect in Greece, because they wanted a "few" euros into their account! I'm not sayin this because I was pissed when I was arrested but that was a trance party, and everybody knows that people are going to use drugs, mainly for their own purposes, is that difficult to understand specially in a European Union country like Greece??? I don't who's fault was, locals, police, organisation, whatever, but we should boycott every party where these shamefull episodes happen! I mean, the party was great, kick ass sound in a kick ass place filled with kick ass people, but don't you agree when I say that the party spirit was broken because of these arrests and police search to the tents. Believe it or not, I didn´t feel safe with the police there! It's not the first time I go to trance parties, and it's not going to be my last, but before situation gets worse all party lovers should think a way to prevent these things from happening. I heard that news too. When i went back to Alexpolice from the island, i saw a Greek man at a cafe. He told me that over 100 people were arrested. Actually, the festival is so famous in greece even a person who is from Greece but is living in New York City knows the festival. He works at a travel agency at Astoria, NY. I bought an airplain ticket from the agency. at that time i bought the ticket, he told me that you are going to the dance festival right? i said yes, then he said that do not take any illegal stuff in Greece. I heard that it is so strict in Greece. if you are arrested, you have to go to a island whcih is next to Samothraki island. the island is famous as The Prison Island. I was ok because kind people who built thier tents beside our tent informed us that police men with dogs were moving around the site. I felt so fearful about it. I put and hide all of our stuff to somewhere else. In fact, these dogs can detect what? they can smell not all stuff right? i mean some are able to do for chemical stuff others are capable of doing for natural. Anyway, i am fine but fuckin usual life is on going and i do mybest and will do then next summer, i also will go to festivals like the samothraki dance festival from New York.
