Hi everybody

In november this year i´m going to India for the first time in my life. I will stay for at least half a year. I really wanted to experience the bamboo forrest but i´ve heard that the parties over there are now gone.

How is the scene in Goa? Can you find some good non commercial parties?

Of course i will visit more places in India but i will start for shure in Goa and maybe stay for a month or so.

Places i also will visit is Mumbai - Karnataka - Kerala - Orissa - Sikkim - Uttaranchal - Himachal pradesh. Nothing is decided yet and i can change my tour of course if i feel for it but this is the places i want to see right now.

Do you know were i can find good parties and a little bit of this India mystic?

And maybe you can give me some tips about good places?

I´m also thinking about going to Sri lanka and Nepal for som weeks and i want to know if there is any party scene there or this magic mans and so on.

If you´re travelling in India from november and want to meet up for a coop of chai or a good parties, please mail me.

Nepal is great for nature, no significant freak or psy-trance scene that I know of. Lots of healthy, wealthy trekkers, good mountian hash, Bob

Marley.

Sri Lanka is a jewel, and is in almost every way more recomendable and

plesant than anything India has to offer.

Absolutely no psychedelia on offer except surfers smoking a j and listening to regaee dub or house. Go there to meditate , surf, or just enjoy a plesant tropical middle-class buddhist country that is much more sophisticated than anywhere else on the subcontient. GO IF YOU FEEL THE CALL!

India is an EXPERIENCE. Not always so plesant, but awesome. Old-fashioned, real freaks (but no parties) in the Andaman Islands and Uttaranchal (look on your map). The psy trancers, isrealis, japanese and the charas (hash) smugglers and Indian tourists and honeymooners float in between goa/gokarna and Himachal Pradesh (manali, Parabati valley) - There you get a whole cacphony of tourist shops-bad cops-donut shops-higher prices-less smiles-isreali biker mobs-but you'll find party activity and people smoking away with psytrance. the original culture has become spoiuled, but the people are tolerant of 'drug tourists' and partypeople.

parties go off in Goa, every winter - full on an unwatered down psychedelic. dogdy, tough. The parties are said to be better in Feb-march,less tourists and christmas crowd - police have taken enough bribes by then to relax.

I was there in 2001 and got the feeling that "should have been here 5-10 years ago!". it must have been amazing!
