Guest mE
I'd appreciate it if somebody shared Mantaray album on Audiogalaxy. This CD is of course impossible to get. So if anyone here has it, could you please rip it? I really want to hear it...

Guest mE
oh ok. thanks guys I didn't think of ordering from the record company. Thank you. sup krelm it's mE the gandalf from the party. uh.. I hate to sound presumptuous.. but uh.. more GOA less boom boom. but acutally i thought your set was more .... alive than others.. the guy after you was insufferable (imho, others thought it was great (yet they weren't wearing fluro)they loved it) ... the last guy was nice. the first guy played aphex twin... for a long time. heheh what do you think of that "The Goa Experience" thread (some pages back now)? I find it genious. lol. Minimal is good... but not 3 djs of it I'm really sorry i don't want to sound insolent but I just really can't resist commenting. I'd never email you comments. anyway thanks for the info i guess the cds are still available.
Guest The Evil Dr. Krelm
Constructive criticism is always gladly accepted. We prefer to know what people think, both good and bad. Yeah, Friday was pretty tekky. Hugh is a very good psy-tekno DJ, so we needed to build up to that early with the first two sets. It would have been sort of strange to go from slamming goa back to more minimal stuff. Last time we had him play in Austin (Oct. 2000), that was the case, and it totally wore out the crowd by the end of his set. Ideally, we could have kept the style Adrian (the last guy) was playing going way past 4am, so it would have been split half and half between more minimal and full styles, but unfortunately we had the 4am closing thing popped on us after we planned the party. It worked well to keep it no so full before Hugh since by the end of his set, the dancefloor was still full and ready for more. There were a couple points in my set where it would have been easy to just cut loose and get full on, but I had to resist. I had to keep it somewhat lighter & funkier before Hugh came on. It's just too easy to put full on psy on the dancefloor way too early since it does immediately fill up the floor. Problem is that everybody gets tired out early. I almost prefer to save the full stuff until way later....best party experience I had was when it didn't get full on until about 7am and then stayed that way until 1 in the afternoon. There was a slow methodical build from more minimal styles to full on and it kept the dancefloor full and increasing in energy for a good 10 hours. If the New Year's party here happens, it will definitely have more full on music since we won't have to stop at 4am. Just make sure you can stay up until 6am or 7am or later to catch it all.
