ELF music
The 10th anniversary release of it’s birth- to verify Japanese psychedelic・goa trance scene at present!! Featured veteran "UNI", "ELEGRAFFITI" from SOLSTICE, and "THEOREME" from ARCADIA. ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ┃V.A / AFTER 10 YEARS OF JAPANESE TRANCE ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. UNI > ADVENTRUE[144BPM] Japanese trance scene, raised in 1995, will cerebrate 10th anniversary of it’s birth in 2005 and head for new stage. The scene has developed drastically in past years and established itself in Japanese music scene. Japanese trance artists, too. Along with the development of the scene, their achievements are also surprising. They are highly competing to expand Japanese trance scene. It was in 1995 that TTT RECORDS, which is the first Japanese psychedelic trance label, released the classic compilation album “THE JAPANESE EXPERIENCE”. After 10 years of it’s release, the scene keeps evolving and producing fine and various style trance music. Needles to say, the sound is now definitely scaled up much more than in it’s early days. It is undeniable that famous artists from overseas are still leading at trance parties in Japan. But from Japan, ELF music is releasing a compilation album “AFTER 10 YEARS JAPANESE TRANCE”, to let the world know the present Japanese trance scene. Also, to expect Japanese artists are acknowledged and do well worldwidely. This album, to be exported to the world, should be a big step and challenge for Japanese trance scene which used to rely on imported music only. Featured lots of new age artists and packed full of energy! All killer tracks, no waste!! This is an album guarantees you to give the essence of Trance music, ecstasy. Navigator is are assassins from Japan, "9 LIVES OF PSYMURAI" ELFCD-007 RELEASE DATE : 03.NOV.2004. more info later... Jeff
how can there be a compilation refering to the history of Japanese psytrance and no word about Tsuyoshi Suzuki????? Couldn't agree more. And it's a common feature for such "anniversary" comp, whatever the musical genre, to appear without the key figures. I wonder why : are the promising titles just a way of attracting customers ? Do the ol' masters refuse to appear on it ? J.

Jikkenteki
Keep in mind though that this is a psy-trance comp of "new" material and Suzuki Tsuyoshi and Ubar Tmar don't really make psy-trance these days....

grahf
Wow, Uni looks like they have a pretty dynamic live setup... looks exciting
Jikkenteki
Yeah, Uni has always had a good live set up (from the pics it looks like it hasn't changed much from when I first saw them in 98). One have of the duo handles all the synth and electronic stuff, while the other does live drumming and various other electronic madness live. They've also been the most consistantly good act I'll seen live as well.
