Acidhasit
I think that nowadays psytrance is way too dark and predictable. I'm looking for that driving, epic, groovy & 'crystal clear' melodic trance with surprising angles/samples. The kind of trance that tells a story, a long story. So not those (in my opinion) somewhat boring techno-progressive-minimal influences... also melodic doesn't necessarily means 'Israëli' for me. It's hard to describe what I mean, but maybe it's something like SST's "Lightbeams", but more funkier? groovier? deep melodic trance, but still very danceable. If someone knows good compilations, artists or labels, please let me know!
Anoebis
very groovy and melodic: Passion on Midijium records, in fact, you should like all Midjium releases also stuff as Silent Sphere, Blue Vortex and Star Sound Orchestra's last release are melodic groovy/progressive psy trance, far away from minimal music

Guest Rain
I think protoculture, tikal, phi are great for what you are searching ... i love it too. 197533[/snapback] mmm... that's all too predicatble I think ... he wants to be suprised while listening... I know perfectyly what you mean 'Acidhasit'... my goa kick is also when it creates brain activity while discovering new sounds and feeling suprised... blue vortex is a good example... but telling a story you won't hardly find these days... more retro goa from 1994-1999 has got that typical element... Thet new album of electric universe tells a story but it is very predictable... maybe rastaliens ??? you can try the compilation 'blue leprechaun' (2004)... there is a story in that release...
