sherlockalien
there was a track by 'Gnome Effect' a few years back that rocked big time, but I forgot the name 'Cujorious one - alien snack bar' was a great dark progressive.. Wow, made me see some real alien tentacles flying over the dancefloor (on acid obviously hehehe) One track that always makes my imagination fly is Reefer Decree - Nightvision Visual paradox had some very nice housy stuff before becoming copy-paste full on(laughing dog on bog, and some other tracks) I really enjoyed when it was released Haldolium - 2nd movement there were some great POTS tracks too Antix last cd was ALL great too.. so was phony orphants This year there was a lot of very good progressive too.. I really like freq stuff (Dreambody rocks), vision and canedy and many others (many very good compilations) many many more I could think of Im sorry, like I said, too many tracks, so I cant even mention some particular ones btw, you guys named some very good stuff already =)
emerging
Great selections everyone, I won't mention the tracks by great prog masters already listed by others. However, I rarely see this group mentioned so brace your selves! PASTE. The flathead, Underdogs, Hihat rmx are v. good. Neurotrop, Minimeise, more weird and interesting. Don't dismiss them at first listen. Grab some tea, sit your ass down on a couch and really listen. Other than that, here are some other nice tracks, Yumade - cure a sao [v. funky] Yumade - einmal ist keinmal Yumade - anti trust Lurifax - polaroid [if this isn't psychedelic, I don't know what is] There are some very good Echotek tracks, in particular, "Sp vdev" Someone already mentioned "chiba city blues" so here's another, Native Radio - gollum Many track from artists like Sun control species, lunaspice, heliotrope found on Sub Machine compilations. And finally you should all be shamed for leaving out TETRAKTYS! This guy is a fuckin' genius. Everyone should have his self titled masterpiece. God, I love his sound, so unique, musical, impeccably composed ... his genius is absolutely evident in his magnificent work. Buy Buy Buy! I salut you Mr. Frenchman. Oh, and I hear he's a great chap as well.

emerging
you know, if you told me that a track had the sample, "to hear, to see, sensuality, and beauty" without having listened to the track, I might have prematurely dismissed it as some flaky cheesed out prog garbage. But timetek did indeed put together a good track with excellent use of a potentially crap sample. But then again I like the track Silent Sphere - gloryland, which many prog heads would accuse of being cheesed out to max. So...... nevermind. haha! asian_bud_nation
yeah theres something about the utter simplicity of the song that fascinates me...if i heard that same vocal line and melody in a trance song id laugh...could i get some wine to go along with this cheese??? but damn, still havent figured it out..its like, the bass line isnt pounding, but somehow theres this flow to the song that cant make u stop dancing... i saw timetech live 2 years ago i think and it was crazy, was truly awed by their stripped down, simple tracks...but shiat, ppl went crazy.. cool to hear that some other ppl feel the same way
