Guest djnemo
What are you guys classifying as acid? 201754 Acid for me is: 303 606 808 909. Acid trance is another dimension though, and as I stated above there are a lot of examples for me. Rob Acid would also be classified as nice Acid. I have been listening to Acid since the late 80s (well, back then it was called Acid House) (88/89). Acid has many directions and styles hehe. dasa
What are you guys classifying as acid? 201754 how's the squelching, sliding sound from knob-tweaking on analog synth?
koolaid
Sounds like you guys should be listening out for Chris Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Acid Warrior, The Geezer, Mr Burns, Rozzers Dog... lots of acid techno coming out from england, poland, czech republic and plenty other places im sure! Most of the newer stuff isn't as psychedelic as Solar Quest's anthem Acid Air Raid, but a lot still makes use of the 303 & 909 to inject a healthy dose of beef into any rockin' soundsystem. Really great stuff for mixing and working a group of ya up for a big party

Adam
mmmmmm good old acid !! Old sets from Chris Liberator are just killers !! More recently though it's very different.. I think they still call it acid; Acid has changed a lot since the good years of 303.. nowadays acid is more a kind of sub-hard-tek ... I've heard some really good acid-trance in 2002, it was called Miss Innocent.. I saw her live and it was one of the best set i ever heard !! http://www.missinnocent.com/ I think she's more into techno now, like most of the old school acid artists... crazyboris
Speaking about 303's, are there any clones that are worth buying nowadays? 200177 Syntecno's Teebee It seems to be the best TB-clone on the market. I can also recommand you Rebirth (software) because this one is a lot cheaper than the Teebee, but doesn't sound that good

Guest Le Lotus Bleu
Emmanuel Top is quite known for 303 productions, Tri-cid or Turkish Bazar (the only one i like from him) & of course Acid Phase. I agree with the one before who mention Hardfloor, it's for me of the band the most connected with the 303 with stuffs as Trancescript, Acperience 1 ... I think to Chocci too, one of my favourite is Chocci & the freedom of sounf - Trancition (1992). some good acidtrance tunes: Locchi - London Acid City Ph1 - Sizzling Love (No Respect) NRG Jams - Acid nrg The Montini Experience II - Astrosym (my house is your house) Bonzai Jens Lissat-the future (No Respect) Mandala (commander tom + Ray Boye) -Astralia (Noom)

qa2pir
The band Noosphere uses some Acid lines, even in their 2002 album Aqua. Atleast i think they are 303 sounds, although not the extremely acid type.
