I am gonna do this weekly and if you don't like it then don't join in, but it is just to see what people are listening to each week. So list you favourite 5 trance tracks you listened to this week:

 

1. Space Cat - Kreak

My favourite track, just wicked synth lines and beats.

 

2. Infected Mushroom - Return Of The Shadows

Near the end it has a funky fun little synth bit, I think this could almost be their best track for me.

 

3. Hallucinogen - Shamanix

This is just a god electro trance song, not so much psy trance. I love it.

 

4. Wizzy Noise - Velocity Engine

 

As far as tyechtrance goes, this is one of the better tracks, scary and twisted.

 

5. The Delta - Standby

 

Very much a straight out techtrance song, but the few samples and the stroy in it are good, the best on the album.

Heavy bassline, minimal, progressive trance

 

2. Dreamland - Haldolium

Some of the Haldolium releases are awesome, heard this track last week and I love it. Has some voice samples from THE MATRIX.

 

3. Clockwise - Son Kite

Again, heavy banging bassline, with some weird but beautiful psychadelic sounds..brilliant!

 

4. Dorset Perception - Shpongle

Laid back, chilled out, uplifting music...lots of musical influences..and very original.

 

5. No Process - X-Dream

Hard, pumping psy trance.

- great atmosphere - and sharp sharp dubwise effects and groove

- production and heart

3. Prometheus - White Sands

- best Prometheus yet, still waiting for him to top it

4. KoxPod - 2 Dots

- these guys are crazy in the best way - full of colour and humour and craziness giving way to deep grooves

5. Watershell - Faerie Dub

- one of the best tunes from a great chill compilation, Infinessence

yeah skaha , Flight Control is indeed a superb track , just the bassline positioning does it all , and ofcourse the clear production with those spacy sounds .. mmmmm

Goatrance: A music that conists of mainly ethnic influence.

 

Psychadelic Trance: Weird Trippy e;ectronic music, not much to do with the ethnice sound.

 

Also Goatrance ismore of storytelling, whils psytrance is more pf just tripping out blowing your mind. This is what Shamanix is, it blows your mind, compare it to say God Is God by Juno Racotr or even Mahadeva which is more of a story, it is more ethnically influnced and less of a head f_uck. There is something in a name, hence humans tend to name things!

yeah and how do you explain xenomorph , etnica, shakta etc.. as goa trance? c'mon guys, you are falling for the wrong definition... what you are reffering to more is morning trance,,, atmos is goa trance... where is the ethnic influence...goa/ psy are useless categories, which limit the real reach of the music... is quirk ethnically influenced? is cosmosis - down at the crossroads etc. or xerox - time bubbles ethnically influenced, or astral projection - searching for ufos? ... i think your definitions are menaingless... but anyway screw that.. these are my top 5 for the last week...

this track has been chasing me all week, every day when i was at school its melody seemed to pop up in my head, making me want to go home to be able to listen to it loud

very gentle psychedelic and atmospheric drum 'n bass tune by seb taylor (shakta), makes me feel pretty melancholic

 

3. loopus in fabula - fikirindia

 

twisted, funny, groovy, funky, full on will bring a smile on your face for sure ..

 

4. filur - multimeat

 

this track put me into a deep trance state a few weeks ago and ever since that moment i'm trying to experience that state again by listening to this very hypnotizing tribal and somewhat jazzy tune

this track is definitely unsane, not insane .. it's beyyyoond sanity ))
