I have found it very informative and its nice to see so many psy trance fans out there! My question to everyone is as follows: What tools would you need in order to record analog synth sounds onto your computer. Specifically a Roland sh 101. Is there certain adapters or would I have to sample via dat? Please excuse my ignorance if I am way off, this is why iv'e come here for help. Hope everyone has a great Holiday! Thank You! Joe 207560[/snapback] Hi there, so let me get this straight. You want to sample a SH101 that you have already recorded on DAT? I mean, there are so many "sampler" programs out there, that you can use once you have recorded the sounds in the computer. Best to use would be Wavelab, Soundforge or Adobe Audition (Whichever suits you the best). If you have a good soundcard with a digital in, then record them from your DAT digital out, to your soundcards digital in. This way you dont have any loss in the process. Once you have done that, you will have to edit your samples so the start and stop points are correct. When you are done doing that, you can start using the sounds in your sampler on the computer. There is no midi on the SH101, but we used a CV to Midi converter Then you dont REALLY have to sample it.
