Ormion
or I'm the only one? I checked the reviews section for his album Optimystique and I saw that most people rate it with 6/10 or 7/10. Well for me it's still in my top 5 albums ever! (and I have a lot of the classics) His melodies aren't the best, the production...mmm nothing great, yeah he uses the same style in most of his track, no much madness.... so, why I love his style? It's about ENERGY!!! Everytime I listen one of his track I start jumping like a cangaroo or something. So much POWER so much ENERGY! BOOM! His has some superb tracks in several comps also: Kashmir Rising Hearts Xstatica Psy-Quest(!) And also his several projects are great. Anyone heard "Thalua" track from his project The Drill? Unbelievable stuff! So, do you like him or he is just one another 7/10 artist?
seraph
I LOVE Psygone, and there are lot of people too, don't worry, you are not alone...I love his album Optimystique and his single Kashmir which is one of his best trax. What a shame guy stopped making music alltogether, same stands for Colorbox guys..They were making goa trance and simply dissapeared like the rest of the best crowd... Ormion
Sorry man but I don't have them also. A friend gave me some months ago a couple of tapes with several tracks uncluding lots of his tracks. But I know you can find them in several compilations of ZYX or Hypnotic records. There's also a 3CD mixed compilation called Clubbers' Guide To...Goa Trance with lots of his tracks. It's easy to find it.
Mindtwister
I like some of the Psygone tracks. But some of them just sound to "Homemade"and cheesy. Havent seen anything released by him in a while thou.

I just came here now to check if there were any topics i could reply to talking about some of the tightest tunes i know(Psygone). (And i see topic psygone!!) Anyways, to me, Psygone is the essence of good old goa, done in an intelligent way. I just find myself starting Psygone tracks up again when i have played other stuff, dont feel satisfied, and just want that tight feelng of those melodies. I have wondered alot where he is now, that Psygone guy, since he has made me very happy for many years with his music.

Very nice melodies, but the bad thing is that I think many tracks sounds the same, but anyway, he made good music

Checkout this link for more info http://www.electrobeat.dk/popup.show_party.php?party_id=35 And I also remember Psygone, I liked it a lot in 1997 from the demo I received from them - Sadly I never got around to book them for the parties I did back then. It was pure israeli trance, melodies, deep bass and lots of energi. By 1998/99 I was myself fed up with that genre though. biller
Hi Guy´s WOW . You all blew me away with these nice stories. I ran a search on google and found this forum. First I thought - hmmmm I shouldnt reply, but hell ya I should. Let me make it all very clear - Im not shy/gone but very alive .. hehe. Im still producing and I write music for others as well. Today I own a Music & VideoProduction Company located here in DK. We do music video´s, scoring for movies and videogames etc. Psyone was for me a big pleasure, but unfortunately it ended because of Hypnotic´s (USA) bad policy - and their lost engagement to break an act. I know a couple of us on the scene back then, that never got the chance to adapt to new styles along with the changing sounds and genres. I saw my new tracks going out on comps. despite the fact, that the follow up to Optimystique called "Organique) was ready for release as the 2nd. album. So we went both our ways, Hypnotic and I. I lost my faith in breaking that act, because doing that myself would cause a bunch of insane work. But in 2001 I was contacted by a Manager from USA that wanted my sound on an upcoming record so I began working on a project that turned into 3½ year of hard work and alot of travelling - The things was going very slow and the first product was an EP they handed out as freebee´s @ E3 tradeshow in LA. Well as it turned more into Alternative/Metal I knew that an album from D:N maybe wouldn´t hit the shelves - and it would be to oldschool for release today. My punchline is this : If you can´t see opportunities you will not win, and that has been the overall sprit for those partners since 1995. Today I have alot of new things going on - just to mention a few of them: A pop album coming out this summer with a very exiting new artist. The music is blended with spice´s from Folk, Country, and rock - its awesome. Another thing Im on right now is a fullblown NUSKOOL soundtrack ready for release this summer as well. Im sorry I can´t give any names yet, but as soon as its ready for release - You´ll find them here or maybe on a new site. And another one .. hehe .. Im building up another US project together with some other guys in California. We´re writing these days so productions wount be out untill somewhat late this year. But this was just to mention some of the new goals. There have been posts about some of the sites where my material is to find. Those songs are old ones, that didnt make it on Optimystique - so basicly I haven´t used or neither written new Psygone material since the 90´s. But You´ll never know what happens in the future. The last track I wrote to D:N was a fullblown Full-on track kinda Psygone meets Astrix/FREq styla. So the Psygone spirit is still very much alive, the question is are the buyers :-) You guys have thrown some INSANE respects for me here and thats a KICKASS feeling to me - especially when I thought it was all long forgotten and dusty. So thanx a bunch - Im still alive - and will never stop composing ;-) Have A nice weekend all of ya - All the best Michael "aka" PSYGONE
Guest Rain
wooooow this is great to hear your reply your actually still alive and yes I believe lots of old skool lovers have and always respect your release ... but you're going in fullon direction astrix style ... pitty always hoping someone would hold on to the retro sound... hope there will be some old skool influences in your present production... not to worry evolution has it's way... peace
