Guest kingdok
A little off-topic, but not really since both these guys were once "down" with the psy scene... Has anyone heard their album "Burning The Candle At Both Ends?" I used to think their Fire label had true merit, but this flies in the face of their otherwise fine roster of talent. I could go into detail about what I didn't like about the album when I pre-listened to it at the store, but it's already past my bedtime on a Sunday night so I'll just say this : two tracks use artificial horn sounds. Nuff said. Artificial horns ruin everything. That, and lame covers. "Sign your name across my heart! I want you to be my baby!" Please. Guest KS
in my opinion they were too fluffy even when they were down with the psy scene... horns?? horns suck, they are for people on ecstacy...

Guest Elysium Project
It's a shame to, see so many people in this forum with so little respect and open minds for other music than the music they personally like. It seem like every time some act from this scene "dare" to break out and do something different you people get personally offended. Wake up and realize that the whole world do not have to be about psytrance.
Guest Tegma
Personally I think their music and production quality is really great:-)
Guest Rumz
Elysiumproject Ok, so their quality of record and the way in which they produce is really good.... But im sorry, I find it difficult to appreciate artists who change styles away from what I like... yeah so its selfish , but what is wrong with not-liking a style of music......Everyone is allowed an opinion. And its not them I dont like, they could be great guys, I just dont like the way they have changed their style of music, i prefered it the way it was. Slide inparticular is very frustrating for me,as i used to buy all his old records, and then I knew what to expect, and i knew that i would like them... I guess its just sad from my point of view that he no longer makes music that i dont enjoy as much. And on another note, I have a wide taste in music not just psytrance. And i also love compositions that dare to be different, but i dont think cass or slide went particularlty different...they just went a bit mainstream. Guest ether
i think its all about survival... if psy/goa wasnt putting food on the table or letting them lead the lifestyle they wanted to, then changing to a more 'mainstream' sound was the right choice i also spin house/dark prog(b/c i like the sound not for more $$$)...and i agree their album isnt as good as their singles, except for sign your name neon heights vocal rmx...and i didnt hear horns, but then again i picked up the vinyl sampler
Guest eris
well, having read all the pearls of wisdom about being open-minded,i think i'll give up my vegetarian meals and go and buy mcdonalds ,give up my 'underground' music and start buying 'ministry of sound' ibiza-style compilations, give up all ideas about how the planet is being screwed by criminals pretending to be 'politicians' and vote for lepen and sharon, then believe whatever g.w.bush and tony blair say about the 'war on terrorism' etc...............
