Ormion
What the hell is happening? Man, every compilation I bought with SA artists is a masterpiece! I can't believe it! Power, killer melodies, amazing production, new ideas... Ladies and gentlemen this is Psy-Trance!!! So do you like South Africa? (BTW:Twisted System-Mad Method is one of the best tracks ever)

I was also excited about this one but was finally kind of disappointed. Only the first track (Azax Syndrom vs. Toxic - Rain) really kick ass. But about the topic itself I fully agree. Very good stuff from SA the last few month especially "Twisted System" are awesome. For the not so dark and twisted stuff I enjoyed lately very much the "V/A Urantia Rising" from Sanskara Records. Almost no fillers, good full-on groove, great basslines and cool but not cheesy melodies. Fohat

Basilisk
There's too much of it that sounds the damn same imho. Too much of a good thing is actually a bit boring. That being said, anytime I am able to skim off a "representative" best title, I am always quite pleased. The Shift & Slug collaborative album is excellent, and I'm looking forward to The Turning for that absolutely nutso Artifakt track... DROP... BY DROP... what a dark anthem!! Anoebis
I agree with Basilisk, many SA artists have the "Skazi-disease" imo, which means "you don't have to know a track to hear it is from SA", so almost always the same sounds and building up... which doesn't mean there are no good acts in between... Twisted System is a very good album imo, Artifakt as well and the compilation "The Encroachment" is my favourite SA comp

Anoebis
well, read well what's written by me... There are only very few countries with a recognisable sound... I don't hear when a track is from Portugal, or Sweden, or America... But I do hear when it's from SA...
