Jo-Naz Lotana
hi, I am doing my first steps in cubase at the moment, but I have a main problem at the moment. It is really a beginner´s problem, but it would be nice if someone posts me. I would like to use a Drumcomputer, at the moment the native instruments battery to create my midi-structure. But I can´t listen my midi in the track and it doesn´t appear in the audio-activity window, yust in midi-activity window. A friend told me that the reason for this problem is the connection between input and output bus, but I don´t remember the place to connect them. Open up a new Arrangement (I suppose you have setup your audio card). I always use an empty arrangement. 2. Add a midi track. 3. Add Battery as a VST instrument. 4. Select your midi track that you created. Press out and then chose battery. 5. Open up your mixer and locate Battery (NOT THE MIDI ONE) 6. Click on the (e) button of the first one (Usually Bat. 1/2) and then you will get a new view. There you have your output above the volume fader. 7. Add some samples in Battery and then press on it to see if it plays. If it does. Open up your miditrack that you created for it, and then press the C1 button (usually the first instrument is mapped to that key). Now there is a lot of things to do, if you want a perfect setup, but play around with it. This is the way that this is done. Hope it helps. Jo-Naz Lotana
Thanks for your help, but I think that my soundcard isn´t configured right, cause I still can´t record my midi-materials
