RolY
Hi everyone, At the moment I'm, trying to master a track at 96 kHz and 24 bits. Now I want this track to sound right on CD/MP3, so obviously I need to resample it. I know it's generally bad to just shrink the file down to 16 bits and 44.1 kHz, so I need to dither it down. I noticed that Wavelap does have a build-in resampler, but is it any good? Besides I still have this 24 bits wordlength, so can anyone give me some advice for some good dither and/or resample plugins?
Spindrift
The best ones AFAIK is waves IDR and apogee. The IDR is built in to the L2 and L3 and is surely the most commonly used ones. Just put the waves limiter on the "hi-res CD master" preset and render the track as 16 bit.
