The Muses Rapt - You

I'm listening to the samples at Saiko Sounds and this sounds pretty damn good.  I like his style.  Seems like he has stayed true to his first album.  Listen for youself:

Wel well well, sounds too much "Dream Music" (a la Robert Miles) to my ear, not my cup of tea. Furthermore, the sonic effects are exactly the same as those from his first album, 7 years ago. Some novelty would have been welcome IMO.

No one said about not posting anything negative, just your statement sounded hateful and not just negative. Have you actually heard whole album or just samples from Saiko ?

Anyone who thinks they have a problem with the cover has emotional problems. :D

It's not a bad cover, its just very simple and plain looking.

More importantly, its the music that counts. Since when have covers become more important than the music on the album? I mean, c'mon, its not like its a bad pornno magazine where you open it only to find tons of fat girls up-the-butt advertisments; where the best thing about it is the shiny, pink clit on the front cover. No, this is a music album. And for a cover that may be all about YOU, it probably looks more busy than it should be.

Anyway, I listened to the samples on saiko sounds. I really like the meloldies, and I'm glad he kept his melodic, emotional edge and style!

..........................................................................................................................................

Regarding the production:

I noticed the beats are more hard, and they appear to be louder this time around. This isn't an album that will be played much on dance floors, will it? ... So I don't think it was necessary to lift up the volume of the beats, as it seems the artist has. The harder, louder beats seem as if they have the potential to sometimes distract from all those nice melodies and rhythms. Does this make any sense? Regardless, its not that much of a big deal, or is it?, Do any of you notice this as well?

Also, just because this isn't party music or something I'd show off to a group of friends doesn't mean its cheesy or bad. Being thought-provoking or better for single listening in certain cases makes the experience all the more memorable and enjoyable. I think this may be the case with this type of music, which is why I question the reason for the heavier, louder beats. Nevertheless, I really like what I heard and plan on getting it regardless! :) J

I guess that sums it all then...

Sums what? That I can't hear melodies and rhythms on 4:00 minute long samples? Huh?

The production is not that bad but it still shines thru even 64kbps mp3s that it's not perfect. Listen track #4 starting at 2:09... it sounds messy and out of sync... and nobody needs CD quality to hear that. People also mentioned bad mixing of the beat.... sometimes the kick is too loud and sometimes it's just ugly sounding. Some of the synth lead sounds are also plain ugly... sorry that's just my opinion.

So what's your point again?

Just checked psyshop and this isn't even currently on there! No upcoming, no "coming soon" when you do a search for Muses Rapt.. nothing!

Has it been released on saikosounds? Is it officially released yet? The first Muses Rapt is still on psyshop, so hopefully this will be too!

I listened the samples at Saiko... and that's perfectly enough for me to hear if I like it or not.

you can know if it's your style (dark, melodic, fullon) or not ???

but this...

Cheesy melodies + cheesy rhythms + cheesy effects + amateurish production = Well.. go figure.

I'm not sure now if you are joke in but it's beyond my understanding how you can not hear melodies and rhythms in those samples. And you can hear for example delay effect easily even if a sample is 32kbps. And I already explained a bit why the production sounded bad to me.
