i wanted to test something concerning nat/firewall/portdiverting from my job...however i had forgotten to divert the good port and i remotely tweaked the nat config, but when natd reread the conf file, it unexpectedly crashed. then the main routing mechanism was gone, making the server totally deaf concerning the requests from the internet. contrary to what you may have thought, the server was still up and running, but with noone to serve except my private network )

 

just to say it was my fault.
