akindo
dec0ding, good question. Well, I didn't decide the line-up, it was decided before I became heavily involved in this project. I agree it's a bit weird to have them together. I would have chosen someone like Digital Talk to warm up the party, much of their stuff is more chilled out now than some years ago, and maybe Naked Tourist or Meteloids as well. On the other hand, it is good to have a bit of balance and not only have dark, very trippy psy-trance, as it is a fact that not everyone there will like it. Some people will like Exaile, some people will like GOW and Kindzadza.

Ov3rdos3
im going to be blatently honest. and this is my opinion. if you have a techno room. you are going to get techno freaks there, if your gonna have a drum and bass room. that too is going to attract a different crowd. eventually you have 4 different scenes, 4 different crowd types mixing. and it doesnt work. the psy line up sounds interesting, but ive learned from past mistakes. if i want to go to a psy party. i want 100% psy. if i want drum and bass, ill go to a 100% drum and bass party. its like pouring 4 different bottles of really expensive red and white wine into a big bucket and gulping out of it. but thats just my opinion. please dont take what i have said as a diss to antiworld. its just not my cup of tea. too all-over-the-place for me. akindo
Goannes, hi, nice to see you here! Thanks for wishing us luck, I think it will be a blast too! alexandar: I didn't decide on the line-up, I would not myself have chosen Exaile. And trust me, London has many more, more "commercial" live-acts coming, most of it is fluffy fluffy, la la, or a bit in between. And the gig is not for commercial purposes, though we wouldn't mind making a profit, having worked since December, very hard, on this event. We are actually fearing loosing money, as we haven't sold many tickets. This is a big event, a lot can be lost if not enough visitors come. overdose: Well, you have a point. However, we don't have the hardtrance/commercial trance, whatever that Antiworld has. We have proper drum 'n bass, proper breakbeat, proper techno. I haven't found it too bad at Antiworld. I used to think like you, but am starting to see we are all people who like electronic music, and it's kind of good to cross boundaries. You know John Lennon, "Imagine a world with no borders"? We will see whether it will be a problem. At least we will mainly attract lovers of _dark_ psytrance to the main room. Peace.
jon faster
dammit, first time i saw this party on psyforum there was no mention of grapes of wrath on the line up, then we were asked to go and decor a party on the same weekend......\ i wanted to go anyway, to see kindzadza and fungus funk, but having seen grapes of wrath on the flyer im now kicking myself if that was on the lineup ages ago, i would have definately have come, but they just seemed to 'appear' arse. delars
@anyone who is talking crap because of the line-up and the techno room making this a commercial party: parties in london ARE always commercial. you can't do it in another way. so get over it instead of picking up these same old arguements over and over again! and for those who didn't mean it that way: what's the point in breaking down a party u can't come to anyways? and btw parties in london are fun at least for me they were, if i don't do em more than twice a year too crowded, and they end at 6am at least u have a crystal clear sound
akindo
Thanks for the support guys. Yes, one must make a fair bit of money to pay for the club, artists, deco, airplanes, etc. We actually lost money. And our party didn't end at 6, but at 8. Grapes of Wrath were added to the line-up about one month ago, sorry it wasn't so from the start. Their live set was absolutely wicked, probably the best set I have ever heard! Hopefully see you at the next one.
