Guest phaeton Posted May 3, 2002 Posted May 3, 2002 hux flux is denis tapper but most hux flux tracks are collaborations based around him, and when i saw them play live they were two persons i really can't wait for the new hux flux album either, i predict it to be THE album that will totally kick the psy scene full of new energy again, like cryptic crunch did in '99 .. if i had to choose only from everything that has been released from '99 till now i'd probably say hux flux is my favourite artist =) Quote

Guest phaeton Posted May 3, 2002 Posted May 3, 2002 i simply can not believe how anyone can compare an artist like alien project who strictly sticks to the same hit-formula during an entire album, not only constantly recycling the same sounds but also the same sequences, with the innovative insane sheer psychedelic genius of hux flux, constantly bringing new sounds you couldn't even think of before you heard them .. but that's just my point of view alien project has some nice tracks though .. but it's just so boring and totally not daring to experiment even the _least_ bit .. it's all been done before and better than most alien project tunes imo .. Guest akindo Posted May 4, 2002 Posted May 4, 2002 I agree that Alien Project is a stupid name. But who tried to copy Hux Flux? All I'm saying is just, that their album, although a killer, was for me not really a killer to play on a dancefloor. I like listening to it at home, very trippy, but for the dancefloor, their comp. released tracks are better, such as Idiot, Bring Your Own BIOS, SnickeSnack, and I think there was one more. I think I was thinking more from the DJ side, which artist will make my set more explosive? Alien Project. But I like both very much, and I agree that Hux Flux are more innovative. I'm hearing them live in two weeks! Quote

Guest phaeton Posted May 4, 2002 Posted May 4, 2002 hmm i still really don't agree with you akindo, i think cryptic crunch is a perfect dancefloor album .. especially a track like nervoservo or alkaloid can make a party explode when played at the right moment and the groovy smilebringer tripple nipple of course =) i can't believe why dancefloor music should be simple and formulaic, it's usually the more adventurous tunes that make me bounce 'round the floor like a maniac if you want to hear strictly predictable and formulaic music at parties may i suggest to anyone the clubhouse or eurotrance scene? And yes, hux flux are two people, I think dennis tapper is the head person in the act but it´s also H.
