Basilisk
Please, no bashing on this thread (the rest of the board is yours however!)... I'm cracking open this topic so we can throw out some names of the full-on releases that actually don't suck so hard. They do exist! Just go by this rule of thumb - 95% of any music genre is crap, so where's that 5%? A few albums I enjoyed: Electric Universe - Cosmic Experience must top the list, if you would call that full-on... great album! Hydrophonic - Aquabatics has the deepness to the beats that give it added character. Mr. Peculiar & the Shapeshifters audiovisual journey Syncrosect is worth the experience, great tunes as well! Penta's Pentafiles is dope for the dark style. For compilations: Penguin Rebellion is a great slice of the south african madness. Trancexpressions is nice and varied, crazy Safi track on this one and a decent assortment of highlights. The Turning is strong thanks to Artifakt's killer tune (yes I can use that term once in a while). Vaporize is probably the sleeper hit of 2004, nice variety and its packed with goodies, high quality level throughout. Wingmakers is actually quite good, plenty of top cuts to be found here from a good assortment of artists... So let's hear a few of your reco's and maybe a few words as to why it don't stink like the rest a few things to think about when considering if a full-on release is good: - is there a variety of sound or does it all sound the same? - are layers used or is it just a bunch of cheap effects with no depth? - is the production rotten or does it appear that time was spent to make it sound good? - does the release have an application for home and car as well as the dancefloor? Anyway, some good full on is: 1200 Mics - Time Machine Space Monkey Lemaurians Astral Projections - AMEN I think is considered Full On. seraph
I am sorry Frontier but Cosmosis, Cosma and Tristan aren't making full on, but rather psychedelia by british and progressive/psy by Cosma...best full on I can think of at this moment: TALAMASCA 1200 MICS ABSOLUM CPU FATALI PIXEL

traveller
Tikal is imo making the finest full on at the moment. The best full on compilation (thou not pure) would be the mystery of the 13 crystal skulls..
Guest Rain
yés this is good topic... but I don't really have complete good fullon releases on my list (some), mostly good fullon tracks... Considering the concept of this topic is fullon > or = 2002... cause I almost like all fullon <2002 Morning fullon 1) rastaliens - freestyle : is perfect fullon album to me... but it's not fullon with the typical morning fullon formula like astrix... so 2) 1200 mic's first album... Single Tracks... 1200 Mics - Shiva' s India altom - the code (only the middle part to be honest) electric universe - the prayer electric universe - morning star jirah - optimator lani - Skycontact smuhg - aliena ultravoice - ultradrive Cosmic Tone - the Cosmic Story Ultravoice - Dr. Trance Sirius Isness - Micro Tunes vick - electra crispy triptych - fifty Jirah - return rastaliens - 2 da max rastaliens - blow ya mind rastaliens - morgains dream Silicon sound - nexus 6 Space buddha - under delusion talamasca - cancer Astrix & Highguy - Chaos ultra voice vs.kio log - african cyber cartel - final oblivion (moon remix) wizzy noise - multivitamin soundaholix - fractal explorer silicon sound - the shell Astrix - Junosys that's it... If I want to listen to a mornig fullon track it's always one of those... once in month I add one that I like if I'm lucky...
Ov3rdos3
Dragonfly - Beaches and Cream: some good full on here, Brain XL - Roadeo Driver etc. TimeCode - The Turning: Rastaliens - The Secret Side (excellent) Tikal - Breathe (rmx) *this is full on right?* Protoculture - Avalon *one of my favorite choons now* theres quite a bit of excellent full on out there actually. Sick Bastard
You've already mentioned almost everyone i can tell. Maybe you forgot Shift- Red Line, if you consider it full on. I like most of french full on artists like Absolum, Digital Talk, Neuromotor, CPU (ok is from Switzerland but is close ), etc. I also enjoy Sub6, Wizzy Noise, Electric Universe, and some Melicia tracks. The Turning comp is fucking great. I'll check the rest.
sherlockalien
bah, and I actually thought most of these artists you guys mentioned make bad full on (sorry, just a bit of bashing.. hehe) The only 2 full on artists I could enjoy a bit was Protoculture (still brainless music imo, but easy-listening.. almost like pop), and tikal (they wanted to do prog, but because of no money they started doing full on... this shows a bit in their music, so its not totally copy paste stuff... I can listen to some of their tracks)

Going back a few years there were some nice full-on hits here and there, but now we're over-saturated.
