I believe that it would be better than any other since 2000. 2000 was last best year. 2001 brought lot of minimal and progressive and anesthesised psy and goa trance, 2002 was very nice year and I find 2003 to be the worst year cause then it was all about full on...2004 was also full on year but with a lot of twists and very good proggy stuff...I believe that 2005 will be nice come back of old feels... it already seems very promising... Â More & more artists or labels but les & less quality, ideas, unpolished sounds, some example: -Fatali , pretended to be the new prince of morning full on according to his lael, it's a pure joke, even euro clubtrance or eurodance are more correctly produced or interesting. The guy has real problem with music, where are the harmonies? Â -Electro Sun, if you like living with 10 years of delay through his eurotrance leads and will always have the feeling of a kid of 6 years in your head you may for sure enjoy his new album. Â -Retrodelic 2 (Avatar) it is supposed to be a great colection of rare goa anthem, i don't got the same definition of rare goa anthem. There's only 3 real serious hits in this compilation, furthermore 2 of them Mwnn - Sly Ed is not that much rare, same thing for Doof - Let's Turn On. Ok Witchcarft-Withcraft magic is probably less known. The rest is composed of indigest pseudo goa tune from quite famous artists but not their best work, only a selection of this typical acidgoa that has been done a lot without any soul. Â -Psytekk , his debut album was already a wonderful joke:a pure rip off of some psytrance hit done by others big name (1200 mics,Dynamics, & another one from Agitato that i can't rember the name psy something). His new one, is said to be 'morning', the level production is so limited of course when he doesn't copy the other it more complicated for Psytekk. I give the award of the awfulest cover to Space Syndrome too. Â -Com.pact has definitively fall into cheesy commercial trance,their compilation are getting worst & worst, easy digestable stuff for kiddies, when you look the last cover of Spaceboard you're wondering where the fuck is the connection with the psytrance music. Lime Structures, Aero, Fraktalik Fraterniti, Drums from the Dawn of Time, Pentafiles, Symphony, Blue Neevus, Eleventure, Eyes Rolling, FX, and my all0time favourite: Lull all come from this year. After only 2 years, I believe these to already be classics. As for chillout, we had Ott's album, Bluetech's, Shulman's album, Sir Eel's, also the third Chillosophy. Yes, the fullon by 2003 was already stale, but if you had looked beyond it by then, you would have been very pleasantly surprised by a new wave of sound. Yes, there is a lot of good progressive coming out now, but I am less excited about it now than I was in 2002-2003. Granted, the crossover progressive style is sort of new (like the PLastik Park stuff), and as much as I like it, the deeper Iboga-style (2002-2003) is the style I am in love with, and innovations in that style are rarer and rarer these days. frogacult was the only one that impressed me lately in that style. Until progressive takes the same route as did a couple of years ago and turns away from the current trends, I will probably be getting into other styles. I believe this is the year we will see more better-produced funky music a la Haltya. At least I hope. Also, twisted minimal promises to be making a comeback.
