Manuser Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 This track is in my 1st goa trance purchase (A taste of Trust in Trance, Nova Tekk, 1997), track 9 : SFx - Y-salem! MINDBLOWING, still mindblowing when I hear it today, I rarely heard a track as pure as this one, especially from 5.45 mn till the end, this melody is a beauty...do u remember this track? It's one of the most underrated ever IMO. Quote
Cinos Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Yup, it's one of the few SFX tracks that are actually good! Quote

The SFX tracks I have fully heard are off the album Unreleased Tracks 89-94. While many sound very dated, some of it can get repetitive and too dated sounding I feel, there are several classics and there is atleast one track that remains great to this day, the melodies, the entire song stands way above its time!, and that song is Allah Acbar. The only album I can currently find this song on is here: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/pho/pho1cd901.html Has anyone heard this comp? I might get it if there are some other good songs too. Also, is there a link available to the Nova Tekk one? Quote
Kailash Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 We're Controlling Transmission is awesome track too! Quote

Here you go http://www.discogs.com/release/80003 And yes that is a very underrated track, one of the best that SFX ever made. Peace Quote
seraph Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Yeah, it is stunning track, shame they haven't released an album with songs like that. I call it pure deep space trance and one of the early trance songs....Completely have that trancey feel so many songs lack these days.... Quote
shaman of sound Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 i made a little research: the track y-salem is about SFX's freind, Yossi Salem, who died in a motorcycle accident. you can see that the track is kinda slow and sad... but its beautiful. you can find this track in the comp. Trust In Trance vol.1, the first trance cd ever to be released in Israel. Quote
Platigreg Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Yeah... I almost cried when I first heard this tune (without knowing reason of the title). And now the tears are ready to go each time I listen to it. A real gemm ! See you. Greg Quote
Jon Cocco Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Here you go http://www.discogs.com/release/80003 236723[/snapback] hey thanks, and I was wondering if anyone heard the other comp this song seems to be availaable on, if this comp is any good at this link below, cause I really want to hear this song and with the Novatekk comp, I've heard all those songs except for Y-Salem... so I'd prefer to get the Trust in Trance Vol 1, here I haven't heard all the other songs, and which includes the Y-Salem song. Its at this link and I wonder if as late as 1999, if this is TNT's first compilation? Has anyone heard it? http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/pho/pho1cd901.html Also, when I went to discogs on the link above, scrolled down to the song-title list and clicked on AP, I noticed that Yan-Iv Haviv, one of the guys from Astral Projection's name is crossed off. Its strange. Did one of them leave the group or something else? http://www.discogs.com/artist/Astral+Projection Quote
