Drosophila Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Gotta love that cover I have been looking at this cover a few times, but it's only now I see what the picture is really of, I thought it was buckets of paint that were splashed all over the place.. I need to have my eyes check again.. Quote
Ajanta Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Loop - Mon Destin (Uplifting Experience) Nice uplifting trance with folklore influences! Loop - Mon Destin Probably too cheesy for most of the people here. Quote
@reyu Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I'm dustin' off my ska, rocksteady and reggae records...it's that time of the year...sun is shining and the weather is sweet. Been invited to play some ol' reggae tunes tomorrow at a party. Looking forward to it. Listening to some Trojan and Studio 1 records...sweeéét. John Holt, Desmond Dekker, Alton Ellis,...hmmmm Quote
skyclan Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Yes. How's the music? The usual parvati insanity but much danceable than "no strings attached"...maybe a notch lower than "parvatrip" or equal to that of "no time no space." imo, still high-caliber psychedelics. hail parvati! Quote
skyclan Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 dig this more than the last two outings...more glitchin flourishes. Quote

@reyu Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 ROYKSOPP: Junior Not a critically acclaimed album but I like it a lot. Diverse in uptempo/downtempo tracks in a typical Royksopp manner. Quote
JonCrow Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Figure on the left of the Hedonix artwork matches my sig pic. Love this album BTW. First listen in car this arvo. Quote
JonCrow Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 is BLT any good? I find it pretty average so far, good in parts, a bit inconsistent. The first track on the album I don't like so much and that doesn't help. I reminded myself today to start the album from track 2 next time I give it a go. At this point I much prefer his latter work as Perfect Stranger. Warranted, I've only listened to this album twice and both times I've interrupted it to put another CD on. Today I was too excited to get Hedonix in my player so I wasn't willing to give old BLT a chance. I've not written it off just yet as albums never cease to surprise me another day, another time, when I'm in a different space. Quote
