Nefarious
There are many recent albums i have and love, that don't get mentioned at all around these parts. However, upon reading some peoples faves for last year and seeing Suria - Logical Evolution, it has me bamboozled as to why no one has mentioned the follow up. Not even a piss poor drunken rant! Its a 2 cd album for fuks sake!! I'm not going into much of a description about the sounds, I'm more interested in seeing what others thought of it. This deviates from logical evolution and gets seriusly bangin'! I bloody loved his previous work and and any complainers about his trak on zen 2 can munch my frozen urine blocks. This is released on Deja vu mind you. Just wanted to hear if anyone liked or hated it. I fukin' love it. Bang on Suria. Play this loud... exotic
This really really deserves more attention. Driving progressive music for extremely psychedelic minds
K-BAN
This really really deserves more attention. Driving progressive music for extremely psychedelic minds I do agree this album needs more attention and I LOVE the second thing you said. I always try to think of a way to describe psy like this. As the back of the cd case says for the tracks listed in blue for each disc - 'neuro psy' is the term and I find that term on other releases I think also by Deja Vu. But Suria does that style best. I would usually describe it as a kind of minimal psytrance since it lacks the nonstop energy. I also describe it as smart psychedelic musuic since it really pulls you in to listen and notice the amazing arrangements within the tracks. yeah, this release can claim being similar songs to one another but they definately dont sound exactly the same. this also is very different music than Logical Evolution - but still sounds like Suria. He has his own way to groove the music into your mind haha! psytrance is definately energy you react to by movements and dancing. this is a 2 disc album that requires the same BUT that you also read it like a novel. superb album I'd give an 8/
Trance2MoveU
Artist: Suria Title: Dark Side of the Sun Label: Deja Vu 1. F*cking Chorus 2. New DNA 3. Tetris 4. Kera 5. Avatar 6. Orbital 7. Hell and the Wizard 8. Fear 9. GTA 2012 10. Sleapers 1. Psyriver 2. Kizapower 3. Magnetic Field 4. Humans Hologram 5. Space Tube 6. Atom 7. In Sirius Web 8. Freaky 9. Zombie 10. Space Net "Rise and shine!" You're joking right? "Release the...houndZZZzzzzzz....." Bob, you got those TPS reports for me? The new Olive Garden menu has had some unintended side effects. AAaannnnnddd....pulbic transportation just got a little more awkward. Could I be any clearer? Holy monkey balls this bored the f*ck outta me. I'm sorry I just don't see the appeal of a measure continuously looped for 6-7 minutes. It's minimal with more squelchy noises and sound effects. Are we sure this isn't just the same track repeated over and over again? This isn't psytrance. It's a f*cking lullaby. None of its positive attributes can overcome the audio Nyquil that is this album. Yeah it's dark, but to enjoy any semblance of atmosphere that might be here you have to have a can of Monster Energy Drink riding shotgun. With a pot of coffee on standby. The second disc was better with at least some samples to break the monotony. Perhaps this was great in 2004, but can we at least admit that it hasn't aged well? The fact that it was released by Deja Vu is probably the most unintentionally funny thing here. Every track I was like, "Didn't I just hear that?" And there's 2 discs of this! This shouldn't come with stickers or a DJ slip. Should come with a f*cking pillow. Mdk
