cubase and nuendo question

Recommended Posts

hello, i was wondering if its possible to convert VST instrument tracks into actual wave files. seems to me like they stay vst tracks until the mixdown. this is kind of annoying when i have halion playing a long sample, and i cant start it in the middle of the sample because the sample is triggered at the beggining. is there anyway to convert vst tracks into actual wav files without having to export the mixdown with that track soloed just to extract it and then importing the wav?? thanks!

Hi There,

No, You have to mixdown the track that you want to playback as a wav file and then you can import that wav.

OR you can Write enable an Audio track. Mute everything except what you want to record, and then record the track onto the audio track.

Mixdown would be faster and more reliable though. Remember to disable any effects when doing either of them :)

yeah, mixdown is much better. i have lots of problems with automation, especially with SW-performer VST  it just doesnt read correct ( by that i mean that it sometimes first response after a couple of seconds :o

Digital my friend, seems like you have some latency issues. Whats your soundcard and buffer size? :)
