Guest
Only one song have ever really made me cry and it was Angelo Badalamenti - Laurens Walking, from the soundtrack of the movie The Straight Story. So damn beautiful
Guest
I can't remember specific songs, but I know some bands that made me shed a tear... and not all of them are melodic... but this is as on topic as I can be: Ozric Tentacles Magma HP Lovecraft probably some Björkt too
Brancovf
The most recent one is Optokoppler - Persia. The melody in the end of that song is just so perfect. And I was glad to see people have mentioned Liquid Neon Sky and Spiritual Visions. Both great songs. And ofcourse Lepton Head Deedrah rmx... MUMMAH! Because I really find the remix by Shiva Shidapu way better, although I like the original aswell. Sorry if this question comes out as noobish in your ears. GaySatanicHippie
ti's not psy, there is this Deep Forrest song they made as homage or something to Global Communication (that ancient IDM project), i've googled it and checked it discog's for a name but i can't find it. It's just has deep... drum on top of kids softly chanting the most tear-dripping melody i've heard... I don't have my old cd's with me they're in storage in another continent so i can't check for that right now 258144[/snapback] that would be "Sweet Lullaby" by deep forest, its actually women from an obscure african tribe chanting. anyways, I never cried from music, but I get very emotinal sometimes, usually with older stuff: Terra Ferma - Lunar Sunrise California Sunshine - Rain (especially the first melody before the rain) Union Jack - Red Herring Atmos-Rebirth of Cavanough (pitched at -8, probably one of the most perfectest songs out there) Etnica-Trip Tonite Yahel-For The People (yeah, i know its cheesy, but that melody makes the hair on my neck stand up) LSG-Hidden Sun of Venus 12 Moons-Beyond Infinity Some New songs: Atmos-Transmission in Vain (those spaced out voices always give me the chills) Lish- Sea Side Hills (that last soaring melody) Yahel-Avalanche Shmuel Flash-Chilling Moments
Brancovf
I feel exactly the same about For the People. Well, did anyway. It was one of the songs I started out listening to, now I have listened to it so many times it's just not the same.

Guest
oh yes, now I remember this song.... "You want to know how it will be Me and him OR you and me You both stand there your long hair flowing Your eyes alive your mind still growing Saying to me--"What can we do now that we both love you", I love you too-- I don't really see Why can't we go on as three You are afraid--embarrassed too No one has ever said such a thing to you Your mother's ghost stands at your shoulder Face like ice--a little bit colder Saying to you--"you can not do that, it breaks All the rules you learned in school" I don't really see Why can't we go on as three We love each other--it's plain to see There's just one answer comes to me --Sister--lovers--water brothers And in time--maybe others So you see--what we can do--is to try something new-- If you're crazy too-- I don't really see Why can't we go on as three." Triad by Jefferson Airplane........ the lyrics teared me up
el brujo
Triad gave a chill on my spine the first time I heard it and still it does the way she sings it especially that your mothers ghost part the way she changes the color of her voice and the temper oh god i love this song
Tox
a REAL old one, no psy involved: back from when every style of electronic music was called "house" in Belgium Joe T. Vanelli feat Csillia: "Play with the voice" The part where she screams at the top of her lungs makes my eyes moist, even by thinking of it. Many memories connected to this one... There were many versions of this song, but you'll know which one I mean if you're familiar with this timeless classic. About the same style as Humate-"Love Stimulation" or Visions of Shiva-"How much can you take?" (don't get me started on those )
Symphoid
The Braveheart soundtrack hits me hard when I listen partly because of a deep rooted association with my first true love. A few others: Coldcut-Autumn Leaves Debussy-Clair de Lune Some Chicane Danny Elfman-Edward Scissorhands Elliott Smith - Needle in the Hay Susumu Yokota Ulrich Schnauss - all of his wonderful music

qa2pir
Not crying but Orbital - Know Where to Run has a VERY emotional melody that makes me instantly think about rainy london streets in the 19th century. Very powerful melody.
