ukiro
Insectoid - "tribedelic nomads"... perhaps a tad too "far out" for this set though, but very ethno. Sonic Fusion - "Tribal Warrior" And you need even more Elysium and Etnoscope =)
fosku
Medicine Drum - Queen Of Cups etc...
Anoebis
Planet Ben - Ant Invasion!!! Rip Von Hippy - You can't drum some Sonic Sufi and also the last tracks of "Beyond Third Spring" album have very tribal flutes in it for ambient: Amaruvision is awesome Jess M very didge-like Taruna
DeathPosture
Planet Ben - Ant Invasion!!! 269584 I second that... Would be awesome if you dropped that in a tribal set... DP
Basilisk
That would be a good use of the Trippy Future Garden 2LP that just came in the mail What tracks on the Sonic Sufi album are good? I never did get into any of it, but I didn't give it much time either... some aussie stuff really grates on my ears. Oh and I forgot, a track I MUST drop in there: Eat Static - Holy War! Dragonflier
You should include some Medicine Drum. "Ulhuru", "Wizard's Brew" and "Tribal Heart" are some of my favourite tracks from them. Everything they've made has a tribal edge though, so it's just to pick and choose.
Manuser
Some tracks from the album from Promon "Funky fumes"
Mindtwister
Have you all forgott "Der Dritte Raum - Trommelmachine"???
grahf
Oh and I forgot, a track I MUST drop in there: Eat Static - Holy War! That track is off the hizzle. How is Trancespotter tribal? Younger Brother - Dwarves has some drum samples, does that make it tribal? Nevermind. dance picks: You gotta play some Banco de Gaia. Heliopolis off Maya, also Kincajou and Kuos off Last Train, are pretty uptempo. Kuos is VERY tribal. Even better, the original dance versions of FSOL's Lifeforms and Papua New Guinea... (actually, the Andrew Weatherall or Satoshi Tomiie remixes of PNG could work good too) Unquestionably, Kiwa - Kiva Runner. Psyreviews called it "a tribal ayahuasca trip in downtown Tokyo." LOL Adham Shaikh's newest album has some tracks you might look at... I'm mainly thinking of the opening track, Opal. Chi AD - Sacred Vision. Beautiful. Kinda ambient/trance crossover. Mystery of the Yeti 1 - Tribal Gathering. name says it all. this one's real spaced out though. OMG, almost forgot! Eat Static - Forgotten Rites! Oldie but a real goodie! edit for ambient tribal: Hallucinogen - The Herb Garden Puff Dragon - Born2BWild (imploding belly dancer remix) professor trance - medicine trance (nada masala vol 1) Dub Trees (Buffalo and Orpheus and Suns of Arqa for tribal dub. Nomads of Dub - Spirals? Howabout some Orb, just to fuck with people who'll obviously be on drugs? I recommend Montagne D'Or. Or to fuck with them even more, the Akira Soundtrack? Ozric Tentacles - Toltec Spring, Valley of a Thousand Thoughts, Agog in the Ether Passengers (Brian Eno & U2) - One Minute Warning Tripswitch - Shamanic Tea Alien Soap Opera - Artificial Dream (there's a version of this I like more than the original on the MIDItation comp on Ceiba recs.) does eastern sounding count as tribal? if so, add: padmasana - a distant star Karsh Kale Amost any Makyo track. Behind the veil, pashyanti (deeply dubbed mix). Bus & Siddhartha - D (TIP Twelve) That was really fun to compile. Hope it's somehow useful. Basilisk
How is Trancespotter tribal? This is the tune with the shaman speaking - wuh summa numma na him blah blah - can't ever write it out properly Unquestionably, Kiwa - Kiva Runner. Psyreviews called it "a tribal ayahuasca trip in downtown Tokyo." LOL Unquestionably. I play that track a LOT, in all sorts of sets. That was really fun to compile. Hope it's somehow useful. 269949 Very much... I'll have to see what I can scare up, there's a lot I don't know so well on your list... Anoebis
Bodh Gaya - Ayahuasca! (the whole cd) CHi-ad - Pathfinder
Basilisk
I have Pathfinder 2000 A.D. in my "short list"... am I the only one that prefers the remix over the original? It's much tighter and more polished imho. Darker, too, which fits the mood...
Cinos
This is the tune with the shaman speaking - wuh summa numma na him blah blah - can't ever write it out properly 269960 Eh? Speaking in Trancespotter? Can't... remember... have... to... listen... again...

grahf
Cinos, I know what basilisk's talking about now (I think). It's the mumbling at the very beginning of the track.
furthur
For trance, the rest of Etnoscope. Almost all from the album. The first track would actually be a great opening. Qula kicks ass too. Some stuff from Kruger & Coyle. Chris Pointdexter More chillout stuff, Gaudi and Sir Eel - Shiva Subcontractor.
