ritual om
is there any particular channel that you always put reverb(bass, kick, percussion etc).just that!
Time_Trap
hmm not always... reverbing the kick/snare a bit is not bad, usually can give a "darK" feeling to the track... also sometimes i reverb the lead a bit, gives more depth....
grimoire
I always put reverb on any sound I use. Some sounds only need a TINY bit of reverb and some need more, but I always use it.
Philter
reverb like any traditional effect was designed to put the "band" in a room. on a traditional recording all instrument may be treated with this type of effect to simulate all instruments playing together at the same time at a particular place. in electronic musik these rules are there to be broken. i however hardly ever use reverb on kiks and basses because they loose thier puch and quickley become muddy. on leads, vocals, percussion etc. i always add at least litle bit so that they seem to "play" together. the reverb i use for this is always an auxilary (in sx "send") effect in order to send all the chanels i want to the same reverb.
