It will take place on the amazing Samothraki island on the 26 - 27 - 28th of August 2005. The center of this big event will be the beautiful municipal camping of Samothraki. NATURE ACTIVITIES _____________________________ Rambling , mountain climbing and nature excursions, organised by the local rambling club of Samothraki island. Diving / under water excursions and lessons organised by the local Samothraki diving club. Mountain bike excursions wall climbing facilities. (more nature activities to be announced) GENERAL ACTIVITIES _____________________________ play ground with several options of entertainment (trambolino etc) exercise and meditation activities (yoga , kapoeira) (more general activities to be announced) CULTURE _____________________________ Within the camping area, specific stands will provide information regarding culture and modern civilisation. From the extraordinary ancient history of Samothraki island, to the present days of digital technology and evolution. Organisations such as "Mediteranean SOS" and "Greenpeace" will provide information about ecological matters and ways of enviromental protection. WORK SHOPS _____________________________ Music technology seminars and ways of sound production through software, provided by digital sound experts and famous artists!!! MUSIC _____________________________ 3 music stages presenting several music cultures such as, reggae, dub, trance, electro, rockish beats, ambient sounds and more. there is a pleasant surprice for the trance music listeners. The "Samothraki Gathering" is a multidimensional youth meeting and not just a festival. Several ppl are involved in the organisation, each one is an expert in his/her field of activities.
