Cybernetika Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Do you know any good weblabels that also offer Goa or Psy for download? I'd also be happy with Industrial or Electronica. Maybe I want to release something on a weblabel but I cant find good ones anywhere... so thanks in advance. Quote
Spindrift Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 You are welcome to send me some demos and I will check them out and tell you what I think about them... www.yousendit.com is convenient for that. Other alternatives I know about that do sell tracks online and sign artists directly: http://www.magnatune.com (don't know much about them and how restrictive they are in their selection) http://www.cytopia.org (seem to accept any trance...sort of a mp3.com for trance) Then you have http://www.mikseri.net which don't sell the tracks but have a nice service it seems. I'd like to know myself if anyone knows more similar sites. Quote

Spindrift Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Excuse me, but those aren't netlabels 297639 Ok...mikseri and cytopia publish music online....I don't know what to call them but I think I understand what you mean. Magnatune seem to be a label, at least thats what they call themself. I hate to call resonantearth a label as well....it's such a crap word "label"...but I don't know what to call it otherwise. Any suggestions? And can you tell any proper psy netlabels instead of just being a smartass Quote
NT Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 And can you tell any proper psy netlabels instead of just being a smartass 297645 Yeah, just browse http://www.noerror.org for netlabel/scene news... or scene.org , but i don't really know if there is any active netlabel releasing psy nowadays... (check my old-netlabels topic for old labels who used to..) Quote

For me it's an organisation similar to a record label but operating using the web as their main distribution channel. A record label should do mastering, promotion, AnR etc and not just run some ftp to make some friends music available. So actually there is not many of neither the links I mentioned or the ones listed on the sites you mentioned that should call themself labels IMO. Quote

At least I'm faster with my releases than Twisted I don't like the label "label" myself though...and like I said I think a label should do more than just posting tracks on a site or as CD's...so I don't actually see the operation as a label really myself. Cybernetika Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 Thanks to you all. However I was referring to "classic" non-commercial netlabels that host some good Psy music without financial interest. The biggest advantage for a musician is probably that they get more visits than private pages so you got a better promotion. Quote
cosmic_flower Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 http://cosmic-flower.freehostia.com look there :-) if you didn't do it already Cyb Quote
Basilisk Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I've started to post free music from psytrance netlabels on my site: http://www.ektoplazm.com/section/free-music/ Quote
